Finally made it to the place where celebrities feed their faces. Sitting on the same pier that seated the likes of Carlos the Jackal, Mobuto Sese Seko, Bono, Johansson, Chriac, and many others, I enjoyed the relaxed temperate breeze and ocean views, dining in style...with an aire of local history. Menu selection was diverse and not complicated. The menu has pretty photos, however not all are representative of the meal. First few items we ordered (lamb shoulder, various oyster dishes) were not available. A bit discouraging at first. We ordered the mixed seafood grill, red snapper with bissap, pesto tagliatelle, tiger steak, and beef filet. The mixed seafood was good, large portion, the snapper was a bit flat, not much of the bissap flavor. Between the two medallion fillets, I liked the tiger steak, with a taste of tamarind. The cuts were tender, and medium rare. It was fillet, but not really medallion. The pesto was tasty, more sweet than basil, no evidence of pine nuts. We ordered a side of Roquefort, twice, for the steak, never arrived. The flag draft was very good, fresh and cold, but pricey at 5000cfa. Would be great if they also offered draft gazelle, the local brew. Realizing where I am, can’t complain, I ordered two drafts. No room for their fabulously looking deserts. Next time. Parking is a bit stressful there. They have a smiling attendant who insists you park in a very specific way. The owner/manager does come around to each table asking how the meal is. An appreciated practice you see less often in fine dining establishments.More

Food was average and service was a bit disorganized. But good setting and meal options. Will try again.

Great location, great service, great food. We booked a table on the pier in good weather. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first opportunity to try sea urchin, which was delicious and very well prepared, as was the fish. It was not...cheap for Dakar, but a curiosity by European standards.More

This restaurant is very close to the Pullman hotel (<5 minute walk) and has really great views and outdoor seating. The indoor ambiance is very cool with it’s Nautical decor. This place gets mixed reviews but I think the food was very tasty but it’s...a higher price point than most restaurants of equal caliber in Dakar. I think for the scenery and ambience it’s worth it to come here for a meal. The staff was attentive and I enjoyed the warm bread with some kind of fish spread. The trout with garlic was delicious (be careful of those red peppers if you don’t like spice, they pack some heat). Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal.More

My first over rated restaurant in Dacar, big disappointment! The food not even close to a fine french cuisine, perhaps it is fine Senegalese cuisine! everything oily fried, uncooked veggies, seafood pasta a disgrace, it was the birthday of my child and there was nothing...he could eat, even a simple mash potatoes very untasty, I could not eat it how can I give to my baby? and the prices are just ridiculous high! People leaving good comments for this restaurant are definitely not the foodies type!!More

You could be forgiven for thinking that you have take a trip in a time machine as you enter the world of something resembling the ship in the Poseidon Adventure complete with a diving bell and stuffed fish. In fact, the restaurant is like the...deck of a ship constructed over the bay. It's disconcerting to hear and see the ocean raging below through the cracks in the deck! Like the style of the restaurant, the food is a throwback to the 1970's - bland, un-creative and hugely overpriced. I avoided the fish as I had read too many bad reviews of food poisoning and went for the beef brochette. Completely lacking in any flavour, whatsoever. The tastiest part of the meal was the glass of white wine and the profiteroles were just about passable (but too hard or maybe stale).More

Food was delicious, setting was beautiful, but I ended up with food poisoning from the oysters and didn’t get a response when I reached out to the restaurant about this.

While it felt a little like Disneyland, we had a very fun dinner at Lagon 1. The food was delicious and service was helpful and efficient. Recommended, though prepare yourself for some cheesy but fun decor!

Beautifull place , the restaurant looks amazing from the inside, if your into sportfishing then this place will amaze you. The food was really great (one of the best in dakar ) and the service as well. Nice owner who makes sure things go smoothly.

Generous portion, fresh and tasty seafood. Great indoor and outdoor atmosphere, particularly in the early evening. Would be great if there's an English version menu.
