Wakkis has improved over time. During my recent visit I saw that it is now fitted with a brand new air humidifier which has improved the atmosphere in the restaurant. The cooking area formerly exposed has now been fitted with glass. One can sit waiting for a meal while pleasantly watching what goes on in the kitchen through a glass... More

We decided on the spur of the moment to have some Indian food. Being (new) visitors to Abuja, our Google search came up with Wakkis. We arrived quite late (21:30), the place was reasonably full, despite the late hour, seems to be popular. Basic interior, fully visible kitchen. Food is very good, and the bill, for two pax, with starters,... More

Good food. Wide range to suit most palates (from bland to spicy). The staff are attentive, service is prompt and efficient. Interesting decor too.

Was really hard to locate using google map which took us to the exit but once we located the place it was amazing. Service was really nice and the food as well.

Do not hesitate if you are in Abuja and want Indian food. I have not found any place rivaling Wakkis for food quality. The only thing keeping me from giving full marks is that the place can get a little warm and smoky when the place is busy.

I've been dining in or getting takeaways from Wakki's for 6 years and I still believe it to be the best value Indian restaurant in Abuja, despite more competition recently. The ambience is unique given the stained bamboo and wood Swiss chalet style dining space, split with a mezzanine and featuring the chefs on display in the bustling galley in... More

Business lunch in Abuja - food was very good I had Murgh Tikka Massala - excellent. Service for the main dishes was good but brought the wrong dish for the third. It happens. Quickly fixed. Very quiet as during Ramadan. Would revisit in the evening socially

We recently went out with colleagues at work to Wakkis. I made the recommendation because I had been there a couple of times. It didn't turn out differently than I expected as the food was delicious as usual.

The buffalo chicken wings, lamb ribs, biryani rice and d nan bread drizzled with butter r my favourite to eat. Nice restaurant. My only problem is the ventilation especially upstairs. The heat and smoke could get a little bit uncomfortable.
