Tucked in a popular area of Abuja, with good parking space and two level sitting areas. The meal prep time was quick, and the waiters were polite and always at hand. The food was delicious and not expensive. If you want authentic Indian food, this is the place to visit.

My favorite Indian food in Nigeria by far. The food is always excellent quality and nice ambiance. I recommend the tandoori lamb shoulder:)

I live in Kenya where we have the 'Handy' Indian restaurant in Nairobi which sets standards by which other Indian eateries can be measured. At that, Wakkis in Abuja does not rate remotely close to the Handy at which I am very surprised to see it rated on TA as Abuja's #2 restaurant! Dined with a friend. Has chicken tikka... More

I visit Wakkis a few times a week and never been sick (which is good going for a Nigerian restaurant). Plenty on the menu to choose from that are not spicy and even the spicy dishes are good! Palak paneer is particularly good.

Had dinner here and it was pretty good. Went with a large group for an evening out and had a blast. Lots to drink and eat and very reasonably priced. Had shoulder of lamb cooked to perfection but needs some kind of sauce. Although it is indian food, however it seems to have been adjusted to suit the Nigerian palate... More

The restaurant has great ambience but the food lack taste. If you like spicy food then its not the place to be. Also no high chair for kids!! Overall they are trying.

Authentic Indo-Nigeria eating spot. The locals go here, the expats go here. Even Indians go here - it's that good. Open kitchen so you can see the magic of the tandoor ovens. Naan bread is heaven sent and so is the tender chicken tikka. GO!

Wakkis has an agelong tradition of consistency and premium quality. If you want a tasty, clean and authentic indian or tandoori meal please go to Wakkis. I have been eating there regularly for over 8 years and I have never considered looking for options in that type of food in Abuja. I say from the perspective of someone that has... More
