I'd be honest, my last visit wasn't in February 2016 it must have been sometime in 2011, yeah but I felt the need to share my experience in what really is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in the city. In at least that long it's kept the doors open and continues to cater to the most discerning palates. Perhaps... More

Best restaurant in Abuja. Consistent. Never any bad experience. Service can sometimes be a bit slow, but that is every were in Nigeria.

There should be improvement in the food varieties taking care of all sick patience and their taste. Parking space should also be provided in order avoid guest clash and give more satisfaction to the customers

I had high expectations before visiting. So i took my wife out for a lovely dinner. The first thing we noticed was no AC. It was just fans. I figured well maybe thats a classic setting. The 2nd thing I noticed was the ambient music was too loud to my liking. It wasn't subtle. And it took forever for a... More

Tucked in a popular area of Abuja, with good parking space and two level sitting areas. The meal prep time was quick, and the waiters were polite and always at hand. The food was delicious and not expensive. If you want authentic Indian food, this is the place to visit.

My favorite Indian food in Nigeria by far. The food is always excellent quality and nice ambiance. I recommend the tandoori lamb shoulder:)

I live in Kenya where we have the 'Handy' Indian restaurant in Nairobi which sets standards by which other Indian eateries can be measured. At that, Wakkis in Abuja does not rate remotely close to the Handy at which I am very surprised to see it rated on TA as Abuja's #2 restaurant! Dined with a friend. Has chicken tikka... More

I visit Wakkis a few times a week and never been sick (which is good going for a Nigerian restaurant). Plenty on the menu to choose from that are not spicy and even the spicy dishes are good! Palak paneer is particularly good.
