I was on business in Windhoek with a one night stay-over. Upon a recommendation from a friend, I visited Joe's Beer House. Even though they were very busy, the hostess managed to find me a spot at the bar. And even though I was not...More

Don't go, it's simply awful. The food terrible and expensive. Arrival by taxi is like arriving at a place reminiscent of Beirut. The staff are friendly, this is the nicest thing I can say about it.

Thank you for sharing your view. We regret that you were disappointed but also realise that our establisment will never appeal to everyone as tastes differ. Fortunately the majority of our guests are able to enjoy themselves at our restaurant.

An "institution" in Windhoek, the focus is on game dishes but also offers other choices. Various areas of the restaurant offer outdoor dining in a rambling rustic building. Portions are very generous. Many large groups were present at the time of my visit. Food was...More

This restaurant and pub is unique. What meets you is best described as organised chaos with decor and ambiance as an upmarket antique shop. The menu is varied with local game and German classics. In spite of its rather chaotic interior you leave satisfied and...More
