My review may be a bit biased as we were personally hosted by Twapewa, the owner of Xwama. Either way our experience was really great. Hearing her story and the journey she has walked really put everything into perspective. To start we had some beef...More

Xwama used to be the go to place in Windhoek for traditional cuisine and it was always busy for lunch and dinner. Recently its lost some of its appeal. The food has always taken a bit long, but because the place was busy, one could...More

Most of the items listed on the menu were out of stock. WiFi wasn't working. The food was luke warm and the waitress served us cold water to wash hands. Very disappointing.

This restaurant offers the best of Namibian traditional cuisine. I have hosted a number of local and international corporate clients at Xwama and it proved to be a great experience every time. I definitely recommend this eatery.

We just spent a few weeks traveling around Namibia, and this was easily the best meal we ate. Restaurants in the touristy areas of Namibia basically serve European food -- meat and potatoes, with maybe a small Namibian twist. That's delicious, but not all that...More
