The place is on a very nice location and has a friendly atmosphere. The food is good though not the best if you want to eat local/ traditional, but the cafe is a nice place for brunch or dinner if you want to relax a bit in a very friendly atmosphere and are up for eating something less local. The... More

Had lunch here. A hamburger with fries and some meat samosas. Both were quite good. Not fantastic and the burger and fries were 15000 Ar, the samosas (5) 8000 Ar.

Great location in the old railway station alongside some interesting tourist shops. Cafe de la Gare offers reliably edible French and American cuisine. Quality is consistent with most other similarly priced establishments and service is usually speedier than most. That said the menu certainly does lack some excitement and the prices are the same as some higher quality places in... More

When i saw this restaurant when going at the telma shop in the train station, i figured it wouldn't be any good as train station food is usually quite bad worldwide. The same night, this restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel so we went and it was so great. The quality of the food, the service, the setting...everything... More

Love the setting and layout of this restaurant, in a garden and in a part of the original splendid city Railway Station which has been restored to former glory. The décor and seating is retro, slightly quirky, and very appealing. It offers a very extensive menu, from simpler variations on burgers/frites to the full three courses, with a mass of... More

It is a lovely place and the menu looked interesting. I just had coffee which was not great. It is a nicely re-habbed building next to the also nicely restored old train station. The toilets are in a very ancient train wagon that is parked on the old platform. The train station has a few pricey but nice little shops

Driving past it looked interesting and my driver said it was popular. It has been well set up with an interesting funky renovation of the old station but with such mixed reviews I was not sure what to expect. The service was prompt so I was optimistic. I wasn't that hungry so ordered a croque monsieur.....TOTALLY INEDIBLE.....soggy white plastic bread,... More

Highly overrated. Third visit and disappointed every time. They enjoy a lot of expats and trendy locals but service is poor and food is not brilliant at all. What you see and what you get. Worst Osso Bucco ...
