We had our anniversary dinner here. The staff was impeccable. The photos others have shared do not give the place justice. It is like a step into a living museum. The food was incredible. We started with the fois gras and it got better from...More

While the meals are beyond extraordinary, the setting is magical. I try to have a meal here whenever I arrive in Tana

Great food. Beautiful presentation, nice portions and very tasty. The small things count and they do this so well.

Enjoyed dinner here whilst visiting Tana. The hotel and restaurant have an amaxing ambience with many antiques throughout. Service was discrete and friendly. The dinner menu had plenty of choice with both local and international options offered. I enjoyed the fois gras starter, chicken roulade...More

My wife and I visited La Varangue with a friend from Madagascar. The food is good, but I did not find it to be particularly "French". Our fish was a bit over-cooked. but no real complaints. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The bread was...More

Great atmosphere! Quirky decor! Best food we had while in Madagascar. The zebu was delicious with peppercorn sauce. As well as the Malagasy traditional stew. Definitely worth a visit! But make sure to book!

I had just arrived into Antananarivo and friends organised to meet here. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is just as great. Prices are on the bigger side but with it. Staff know their job also.

It's not that expensive by international standards but it is quite pricey by local standards. If you are doing a full multi-course meal then I think that $25-30 should cover each person easily enough.
