I've had great Ethiopian food across the United States and Simret ranks among the best. Nice selection of classic Ethiopian dishes, tasty Injera bread, sweet honey wine and nice tea with good chocolate cake. The service was fast and very friendly and the owner was...quite personable. I recommend wholeheartedly and look forward to my next visit when back in Accra.More

Simret is our favourite restaurant in Accra! Even when we came to the restaurant for the first time in 2020 the restaurant was about to close but they still opened the buffet for us. The food is very fresh and delicious, always prepared with a...lot of love. Apart from the meat dishes, there are a lot of vegan options as well. In Addition, we can really recommend the selfmade honey wine. The service is excellent as well, very kind and welcoming reception. The restaurant in general has a cozy atmosphere with some nice music in the background. This May, we celebrated our marriage at Simret and the restaurant opened for us even outside their working hours. We were welcomed and served as if we’re part of the family. It was such a beautiful day and the food was on point as always! Thanks so much. ❤️ Warm regards, Edward and FranMore

I was there two times and was welcomed with open arms by the kindest people! The atmosphere is cozy and familiar. The buffet is presented nicely and offers a large variety of food that will make everyone happy. They have plenty of options both with...meat and vegetarian+vegan. So I can highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit if you live in Accra or if you’re visiting!More

The service and friendliness of the staff were excellent. I felt welcomed and valued. The food was good. Simret is one of the top three restaurants we have visited in Accra. Also, it is probably a good idea to call ahead before visiting.

Amazing amazing authentic food. Was sad my stomach was full so quick. Honey wine was amazing too. Added some sparkling water to make it less sweet but it was sooo goood still. It's a quiet night type of feel. Homey I just want to eat...out type of experience. Reasonably priced as well.More

We visited Simret last night for the first time and I must admit, I was blown away! The food was extremely flavorful & delicious, and more importantly, the customer service is top-notch! Unfortunately, we've become accustomed to poor or lackluster service here in Ghana; this...was not the case at Simret! The owner is very kind and took great care of us for our 2-hour stay and continued to wow us! This experience will certainly be the catalyst for our return soon.More

Always has all the basics (doro wot, tibs, alicha and all the other veggie dishes) but no kitfo or tej. Great flavor, but not spicy (hot) enough for those who have been to Ethiopia.More

My wife, two children and I dined at Simret a few nights ago for the first time (having seen their ratings on trip advisor). Every aspect of our experience was delightful. The Ethiopian cuisine was authentic, flavourful, and filling. Our waiter was very friendly, professional...and attentive. What we enjoyed most, besides the food was the interesting conversation we had with the proprietor, whom shared the story of the beautiful union that led Simret being named for her daughter. Simret is an Ethiopian home from home.More

I also can't wait to go back when I next visit Accra. I was inspired to try out some Ethiopian recipes at home in the UK.
