We’ve really enjoyed this place which was recommended by a friend for the freshness of its seafood. We have a call to the owner, a lovely lady who took our reservation and asked us what we wanted to eat. I’ve been looking for eating some...fresh crayfish for some time and was usually always disappointed. So what a pleasant surprise to find tonight what was a perfectly cooked, absolutely fresh, massive crayfish in my plate. In other restaurants it will cost you the same but the crayfish will be wasted by unskilled cooks who unfreeze it before grilling it. This one was above perfection. I had green beans for side and I was amazed to see they were fresh from their garden. My colleague ordered some gambas and if I hadn’t this bewildering crayfish in my plate I would have been jealous. Never seen so big prawns in my life. When we thought we couldn’t find more space in our stomach, the lady seduced her with her homemade apple pie and roasted apple served with homemade red berries mousse. We were then shocked to see it didn’t cost much, especially when any restaurant in this town is charging you the same for mediocre frozen food. We will definitely bring people there and come back as often as we can now that we have found this hidden gem. A must try in Libreville for fish/see food lover as the owner got her own fisherman who exclusively bring her the best selection of seasonal products directly from the estuary. Give her a call 24h in advance to make sure you will have what you want or just try the daily’s chef selection. In any case you won’t be disappointed. The fast that the service was quick, polite and really process just add to the perfection of our dinner.More

What a grwst evening of good food and service. Ulrick and Laure (in the pic) were simply amazing. The “ambiance” is quite simple but so refreshing in terms of being real and not affected. The food was amazing... and the prices very reasonable. If/when i...come back to Libreville, this will be the place to come, this time fir the gambas (i had a lobster). Thank you, Laure and Ulrick!More

Went for dinner with a colleague. A couple of tables were full in the terrace. We took a table indoors, not many people for a Sat night. Service was impeccable. Olives in mustard sauce were brought almost immediately. Drinks were served quickly. Had the crabe...farcie for starters. It was quite yummy and good value for at 6k. For mains, my colleague had a grilled dorade and I had the entrecote. The owner, a lovely middle aged lady, explained how the cuisson for the entrecote is called differently in Gabon and ensured they got my order right. I tried a bit of the dorade which came with fries and ratatouille. Fries were 'fait maison' (home made) and pretty good. Unfortunately, I had my own main and sides to focus on so had to forgo the fries. The entrecote was quite ok, not really medium rare as I hoped but it was quite tender and well seasoned. So it was quite satisfying. I had ratatouille and haricots verts for the sides. The ratatouille was really good and went so well with the sliced baguette. The haricots verts was cooked perfectly with butter. Lot of the herbs used are fresh from their garden. No space for anything else, so need to go back soon for the cafe gourmand. We left and walked back to the hotel, and my colleague left his room keycard at the restaurant. When we reached the hotel, someone from the restaurant was there with the keycard. Can't get more amazing service than that.More

Went friday night for dinner (whole fish) with my wife (vegetarian) and her colleague. On Monday I went for lunch (whole fish) and dinner (Lobster and King shrimp/prawns). The fish was so fresh that I decided to order the lobster as well as the king...shrimps. The lobster was the biggest I have ever eaten and the king shrimps/prawns were huge. I would not advise ordering both meals for one person. I wanted to try all the seafoods available since it was my last meal before leaving for my flight. The seafood was fresh and cooked well by the chef. I had to take the sides and a couple of the shrimps to the airport. The hostess and server was very kind and accomodating. If you are staying nearby or at Le-Meridien you should not miss out on the great fresh seafoods. My wife enjoyed the vegetarian food as the hostess gave her whatever was available in the sides including Avocado. We wanted to have dinner on Sunday but unfortunately they were closed.More

The day was fine, the sun was shinning, so we went to The Palloites for lunch. Simple and friendly enviroment, very well welcomed by the owner, with some suggestions, which we accept and did not regret. A little expensive, but still a very good, unpretencious...mealMore
