The restaurant is a little out of the way, so necessitates a taxi ride, especially during the evening. It's location is slightly daunting as the road is dimly lit and narrow. However, the restaurant is a delight, with delicately understated décor, simple but effective. The service is attentive and the food was nicely presented and tasted delicious. It is reasonably... Nice outside sitting space. They serve Ethiopian as well as French dishes. It is rather difficult to find but worth a visit.

A nice quiet place with agreeable outdoor set up. Omelettes were excellent as was the coffee. Almost impossible to find without help. Largely French influence in the menu

The place was lovely - it was a little tricky to find - but we did find it - and it was an easy space, and the veg options were really delicious as was the salad and the wine. It was a lovely evening.

Had lunch at La Mandoline after Bahir Zaf turned out to be closed for renovations. This is a good French restaurant in a city in which genuinely good foreign cuisine is hard to come by. The menu is essentially French bistro food, albeit at a fine dining price point by local standards. I had the soup of the day (Carrot),... More

One of my favorite places in Addis. The food is really good as is the wine by the carafe. The best part about eating here though is the atmosphere - great lighting, music, service. Perfect for a special occassion. p.s. don't forget the chocolate mouse - best dessert in Ethiopia

Fillet was more than great however stuffed chicken was not for me. Though salad and cooked vegetable was also delicious. I want to visit here again!

Nice french restaurant. We had the quiche for starters, and beef for main, they both tasted exellent. The atmosphere was great, and the service was down right outstanding for Ethiopian standards. I recommend it.

We had dinner at La Mandoline two days in a row. The portions are very large, the veggie salad is almost a meal. The soups delicious as well as the aubergine entree. The risotto is very delicious and very rich too. Highly recommend the Cafe Gourmand for desert, which is a combo of 4 smaller deserts. Both the white and... More
