Good ethiopian food, lovely cultural episodes, mainly dances. If you're visiting Addis for a few days, it's definitely worth paying a visit to this place!

Yod Abyssinia is not the best choice to have local dish in Addis. First of all the taste of the food is not that special and it's also over prices. However, it is well known for the traditional dance in the evening. I would highly recommend Habesha 2000 for the perfect taste of the food.

I've been here a few times, although I hate injera I tried the beef tibs, it was like eating a leather sofa...they exchanged for the lamb and that was the same - tourist prices but good music

We visited for lunch so did not see the cultural show. The ambience was quiet but atmospheric. We sat on traditional stools around a round table and ate with our right hand. The food was delicious but a little pricey by Ethiopian standards. We shared a non-fasting platter which had a range of meat and vegetarian dishes spread around a... More

Food was very nice and show (music and dance) interesting way to discover local culture. Ambience is good with a mix of locals and foreigners.

Nice evening spent in this very famous place where dancers and musicians will entertain you with very characteristic show. The dinner is rather average and at least 4 times more expensive than any other place in the city.

Went to this restaurant in my second night in Ethiopia and I love the idea of mixing a food experience with a traditional dance showcase. If you just want to go for traditional food then expect the price to be a rip off because it's the most touristy place in Addis however it's worth the experience. If you like your... More

If you have time to go to only one place in Addis Ababa, go to this iconic rendez-vous. A huge traditionally and tastefully decorated space with quality singing and dancing performances from across the country and even from Sudan. Choose the buffet food so that you have a taste from a variety of Ethiopian dishes, with a dominance of spicy... More

I went to the YOD Abyssinia. restaurant with a friend and my two of my younger sisters last night. The place is one of my best and most favorite spot in Addis. Of course most of my families have been dinning here for quite a long time as well - says something doesn't it? I promised the manager that I... More
