The dancers are great, very talented and engaging. This is our go to when traveling, to eat good local food, drink and enjoy entertainment.

At first look we felt like in a kitschy and touristy place packed with foreigners and also locals. Nice servers, hard pressed. Then we forgot it and started enjoying traditional food and drinks, injera with shiro (chickpea stew), mesir wat (lentils) and tibs (sautéed beef), iab (cheese), Saint George beer, tej (honey wine), coffee warmed up on brazier abound ...... Certainly recommend to tourists, Addis Ababa first timers, and those looking for to witness a comprehensive show of Ethiopia's different cultural dance. This is not exactly a "hidden traditional gem" but more like a very well known restaurant (which attracts a lot of tourists, out of towners and locals alike). That said the cultural show is one of the most... More

I enjoyed the music and setting in the restaurant. We ordered the large sampler injera dish that cost 400 birr. It was a good way to try all the different offerings. I found the injera noticeably sweeter here than the injera I get in my go to restaurant in Atlanta. I wish I would have been able to try a... More

So looked up trip advisor as we're in Addis for a few days and this was the top rated restaurant. I can't fathom why, the food was luke warm, lacking in diversity, the atmosphere was very cold, no live music, lights turned up to full and inattentive wait staff and the final sting in the tail was the way my... Went here based on recommendations from local staff as one of the top Ethiopian restaurants in Addis. The food was excellent and abundant. There was an ongoing cultural show highlighting regional dances and songs. If you only have a few nights in the capital and want a fast introduction to the local culture this is a great place to start.

Whenever we have visitors from overseas, we invite to this place for dinner. They can taste different authentic Ethiopian dish at this place. Also they have great traditional dancing with band and singers. It is not cheap place probably they think the foreigners will come regardless of price. But there are many Ethiopian customers patronizing the place as well. Although... More
