Not great - and if you're expecting Something Extraordinary just because you're in Addis you'll be disappointed.

A really nice place to hand out all day time. Having breakfast and a tasty hot drink while reading a book. It leaves you with a great feeling of being a served kind and allows you to enjoy the beautiful rainy weather of the city. Very delicious food and pastries.

In the past two weeks, we've probably been to Kaldi's 5 or 6 times. The coffee is good. Samosas and chips also good, as is the cheese omelette with toast. When they have it, their ice cream is also very good. We like the feel of the place (casual). When very busy, service can be slow. But, prices are reasonable... More

The coffee, naturally , was superb -befitting Ethiopia's status as the original home of coffee. The service was very polite and charming and it was a definite bonus that there was Ethiopian food and even Rift spelled Reft Valley Cabernet Sauvignon red wine ( very good, by the way) to sample. A must for every visitor to the City!

Caldis coffee is the first coffee house in Ethiopia having more than 10 or above branches. It is a good example for Ethiopian business persons that are limited in one business shop. They can do like this. When I come to my review, Caldis coffee is targeted to medium class income persons. It's price is very expensive compared to that... More

Kaldi's has kind of a name in Addis. so there are a lot of Kaldi's around and they differ. On the contrary what you would expect of a franchise the service not only varies per branch but also per visit. Often it is below average, many branches are simply not clean, service very medium and offer of cakes for example... More

Ethiopia Coffee is popular both amongst the locals and tourists. This joint ,however only serves traditional coffee. One cannot get Cappichino or caffe latte.Secondly the insides were not very attractive or friendly.I could not convince them to give me coffee with hot milk !

Really nice coffees in a nice cafe. Be careful not to sit near the fence if you are a farangi because beggars and hawkers will harass you as they go by.

A good place for coffee. Also good for sipping and chatting. The service at both outlets I visited was good (Bole Road and Bole Medanealem).
