Under a thatched roof or on the terrace under the African sky you will be in a spacious dining area with an extensive menu showcasing lots of local produce. Deep fried Brie with a marinaded salad and roast quail were our chosen starters followed by ostrich steak and kudu Wellington, both very tasty and well presented with well cooked vegetables.... We tried out the Palm after walking in to the Ilala Lodge during our stay at Vic Falls (we were at the VF Safari Lodge). We sat outside as it was quite warm enough and you can hear the Falls rumble in the background. Started with a spicy beef salad and the crocodile frikadelle, as one does; then baked tilapia... More

The dining room was elegant with high ceiling with doors opening out to an open area where you can see mist from Victoria Fall. We tried breakfast, lunch and dinner, all were cooked with very good ingredients and most important, creativity and care.

Dined in on both nights of our short stay. Enough on the menu to please most tastes. Tables on the terrace quite romantic. Service great and attentive without being obtrusive. Springbok spring rolls, ravioli, warthog, steak, lamb shank - we didn't make dessert. Wine excellent too.

We had our anniversary dinner at The Palm restaurant recently and I can’t rave highly enough about the food, the menu, the service and the setting. We live in Victoria Falls and get to sample all the restaurants around town and I can say with all honestly that currently The Palm, in our opinion is the best fine dining option... More

Breakfast was not 4* level. The cheese melted in the heat. The choice of sausages was poor. There were no olives, tomatoes, cucumber or anything else. Only the choice of eggs where huge. but we are not from the USA or Britain and after 3 weeks of traveling through Namibia, we could´t see eggs any more. We also didn`t really... More

We were guests at Ilala Lodge for 3 nights, and experienced several meals there. Breakfast was included in our room rate and offered everything for most palettes. The pancakes were delicious. We also had lunch, which was also good. Dinner was a culinary delight with a variety of local type dishes. We all indulged and tried something out of our... More

I ate already several times ostrich meat but never as tender as this evening ! The filet was cooked exactly as I requested and it ŵas prepared in a very original way with a sauce of truffle accompanied with vegetables. I drunk an African red Cabernet with it and all this for a reasonable price. The service was cordial, warm... More

We wanted to try some wild game but did not want to go to the touristy circus at the Boma. This was a good choice. We had Kudu Wellington, Ostrich Filet, Warthog Pork Belly and all were good. Presentation was solid and while service was a little slow, not out of the ordinary for our Zimbabwe experience.
