In Victoria Falls within one of Zimbabwe’s Unesco declared World Heritage areas, alongside the shoreline of a world iconic river lies Zambezi House - Restaurant and Bar. The NEW all-time eating house and favourite hang-out emulates the vibrant cultures of African markets and social scenes, whilst showing off the modern trends of “cafe life styles" found in the modern and thriving metropolises of African cities. The epic setting attracts those traveling and wishing to enjoy a mouth-watering meal in the company of a well-balanced mix of locals and fellow travellers from different corners of the world. Whilst some enjoy the ambience of the Zambezi River flowing past and use it as a day's office,

I am late posting but while in isolation due to the COVID19, I began thinking about my visit to Victoria Falls and a most wonderful evening spent at the Zambezi House Restaurant. Our food was authentic and delicious and service from our attentive waiter Z...was top notch. Most impressive however was the supervisor named Kuda. He came to our table soon after we arrived to introduce himself and welcome us. He assured us that we were in quite capable hands with our waiter but if we needed anything from him he’d be available. Little did I know how much I would soon need him! After sitting down I reached for my purse to get my phone to take pictures of our beautiful surroundings. I then realized I didn’t have it and immediately began to panic, thinking of losing my passport, money, credit cards and other important documents. I then remembered last seeing it in our hotel lobby when I decided to assist one of our older travelers walk to the restaurant. Immediately Kuda tried to calm me by making phone calls to the hotel but couldn’t get through. He told me that they were honest and proud people and he felt we would find it. I was in such a panic I going to run back to my hotel alone. At that point Kuda got a car and drove me back, all the while assuring me that things would work out. When I got back my purse was on the sofa just as I left it, undisturbed. Thanks to Kuda I was able to return to the Zambezi House and enjoy a wonderful night. I thank Kuda so much, not just for excellently representing the reputation of Zambezi House, but for showing himself to be an amazing human! Thank you for helping me end my trip on such a positive note. Your service was above and beyond and I certainly appreciate you!More

My son advised us that we had to visit this restaurant. We were staying at A' Zambezi River Lodge and whilst we knew it was right next door to us our hotel staff insisted that we catch a taxi as it was not safe to...walk there because of the wild animals, great to be in Africa. Very stylish and parts of it made out of containers. It was dark when we arrived so did not get a good look at the place and unfortunately we were the only people there, later another couple arrived but disappointing that there were not more people there so the vibe was a bit dead. Obviously service was good and we had a great meal and I particularly enjoyed my pizza. I do recommend that you do have a meal here.More

Such an amazing dinner choice! We stumbled across this place after a walk from our hotel nearby. Beautiful pizza and pasta and service was amazing! Hippo’s and warthogs were on the front lawn as we were eating - they even sorted out alternative transportation when...the hippos made it unsafe to venture home. Would highly recommend!More

We loved the laid back atmosphere of the Zambezi house. Pizzas were thin crust wood oven and delicious! Best frozen drinks too! Kids loved their virgin strawberry daiquiris and my husband had the best “mud slide” after dinner drink. Service was excellent!!

I cant rave enough about how amazing this restaurant is. It is beautifully designed and built entirely out of shipping containers. I want my house to look like this! We were a group of friends including young kids arriving straight off a sunset cruise without...a booking. Within minutes our waitress had arranged crayons and paper for the kids and fast tracked their food. Zambezi House makes the BEST pizzas in Vic Falls but there are also more substantial dishes on the menu such as pork belly and bream fish cakes. Cocktails were clever, delicious and nothing was very expensive. Do not miss out on spending time here when you are invoic Falls. It is located on the banks of the Zambezi and can easily be combined with a sunset cruise as the location is close to the jetties used by most operators.More
