In my 19 years in the country, i have never seen this place empty. Come rain, come shine, you will find guest all the time. Very reasonably priced and situated in the heart of the city, this is an ideal place for budget travellers and residents. When i say budget it doesnt mean that the quality is compromised. No, not... I like Chef's Pride and used to come here quite a bit more than I do now. The food is generally good, there is a buffet for a more budget meal, and they have an expansive a la carte menu. However, the main issue now is there is a very limited amount of table space so during mealtimes it is... More

If you look at the showcase, you may be practically salivating, different kind of fishes and meat. I ordered biriyani but the dish looked not good enough maybe because i expected greens on the plate and could not be my favorite. Probably next time I will try another menu but it is very boring when you have to wait for... More

It is a very busy place. Has prompt waiters and you are basically spoiled for choice if you are looking for a local dish and you visit the place on a good day at the right time.

While this used to be favorite spot for breakfast and dinner the last visit on Dec 14 made swore never to set foot again. The charming waiter took my order and asked me to wait for 10 minutes, being it a take away I wondered in the nearby shops purchasing what I needed for my patient. After 15 minutes I... More

No matter what they say about the food, the waiting service is terrible. If you are not a known client and you are alone, be prepared to wait a while before you get the attention of a waiter. I really would not go there again or reccomend anyone to.

We were visiting a friend in Dar and he brought us here for our first lunch. The service was very helpful and they were able to explain and show us all of the daily specials, since we were unfamiliar with some of the dishes. We really enjoyed all of our meals. The portions were huge and the prices inexpensive.
