In Dar es Salaam and wanna have Sushi? This is the place to go to hands down, they have no competition when it comes to makkis and sashimis. Haven't tried rest of the menu but other Chinese items are pretty average. Be ready to dig deep into your wallet when visiting this joint, slightly expensive for Tanzanian standards but they... I am here in TAnzania on business and dining solo, never particularly appealing. However the food and service here changed that. Very good range of wines, I picked an excellent red from Paarl, South Africa. I ate a delicious crispy Mongolian lamb dish with jasmine rice. It was better than anything comparable I have tried in the UK. Very impressed.

What a treat to have dinner here. For TS 66000 a full buffet was served and no preparation was spared. Seafood was available in abundance. Don't miss it if you are visiting Dar and feel like spoiling yourself.

I liked the food and service but I think that 50 USD for a main course and half a bottle of the cheapest whine is too much (for Tanzania). But still worth going there if you're not short of money.

Stayed at the Kilimanjaro and ate at the Oriental after a long lacklustre culinary trip in Tanzania. Tom yum soup was very good, but the duck curry just didn't quite hit the mark. Maybe they are trying to do too much in the way of Asian fusion and should just stick to one region and specialise. However I have to... More

Great interior design and good location . Strangely there was no music. The wine list is rich. There is mostly seafood on the menu. They have only one chicken dish and it was tasting like fish. The waiting staff is experienced and well trained.

Came for dinner on two seperate occasions and on both we were blown away by the food and the ambiance. The staff were attentive and friendly , the sushi was great too and there was a wide variety of drinks to chose from. I could not find any fault and will definitely be back.

Since its opening, the place has offered continusly a large selection of oriental dishes. The atmosphere is more posh than casual. ( hotel oblige) The service is good and the waiters know the dishes ( quite rare in this part of the world). Selection of drinks is great and food is presented superbly. Taste wise, can't say much as was... More

I've been here a couple of times and always found this place too ambitious really not a fine dining restaurant as they would like to be. I understand that high standards are very difficult to be reached in Afrrica but you cannot keep your prices as high as a top level restaurant in NYC when you deliver food that is... More
