I've been in Morocco nearly a week and hit most of the "musts" heading north from Marrakech: Fez, Chefchaouene, and now Tangier. This little bistrot in the Medina in Tangier is the best meal I've had this whole trip, and the price tag doesn't hurt either! The place is pretty unassuming from the outside - it looks like a dive... More

After dinner at Restaurant Rif Kebdani based on excellent reviews, and major disappointment of a so-so meal, we tried out Le Bistrot du Petit Socco. Upon arrival we saw 2 tables of Moroccans and 2 tables of tourists. Soon another Moroccan family sat down. (Ref Kebdani had 3 tables of tourists and no one else through our whole meal.) Good... This is somewhere I would never think to go, looking like a tiny kebab shop from the front but the upstairs dining room offered a great point to people watch. Food was fantastic value and tasty. Would recommend for a quick authentic meal but probably not a romantic dinner.

Just at the Petit Socco - good views and had a good choice of food at decent prices. The service was good and the sandwiches we ordered were tasty.

Good food, confused waiters, poor sanitation. But this is Tangiers . Try not to lean out of the window or sit to close to one. The stench of the street below can spoil your experience.

This place is incredible. The first night I had the tagine and it was one of the best things I ever tasted. The second night my husband had the steak and he said it was the best meal he ever had. The place is very small but it is a good spot for people watching and the food is truly... More

They have good meals, prices are decent, food quality is very good. I'd go here again, definitely better than all the bigger restaurants around it

When we hit this square we decided to check out the meal options. Most of the other cafes looked like they were serving a mostly male clientele, and the one that did have some other women had few options and nothing vegetarian. We wandered over to this little bistro, and were impressed by the large menu of interesting food, including... More
