This place was recommended by a junior front desk person at the Le Diwan because of its proximity and apparently good food. Either this person has never eaten here or does not know good food. The funniest part is that the entire bus load of...people we were on the trip with, eventually showed up at the same place. It felt like we were not only all traveling together all day, but now eating together as well on day 2! Arrived at sharp 7 for the scheduled appointment, however the menus took over 15 minutes to get to us. In a restaurant where we were the only people around, that was quite interesting start. Then ordering was a bit complicated but when the food arrived (I ordered chicken breast with mustard sauce) as did only of my travel mates; yet another ordered lamb kebabs. All the meat was overcooked to the point that I ate the sauce, but left the chicken intact after the first bite because I did not have utensils sharp enough to cut through the meat. I felt like the chicken and lamb were both so old, they might as well have been family heirlooms! Keep in mind the restaurant brings out olives and bread like all places in Morocco, however unlike the other places, they actually charge you for it although they never tell you that upfront. Clarify that before you eat it or ask them to take it away if you don’t want to pay for it! The final kicker was the in paying the bill. When we tried to pay by credit card we were told the internet connection was a problem and the card would not go through, yet, when we paid by debit card it worked like a charm! My recommendation is stay away from this place. Not worth the experience.More

this was recommended to us by the our tour guide and it was very good dinner. The service was good and we waited only because it was about 15 of us showing at the same time. The food was very tasty.

Pretty good food, like homemade. Plenty of free appetizers like olives and marinated veggies. Very beautiful space.

I have been in much better restaurants in Rabat.the chicken I ate smelled old an reheated. I did not enjoy any bite. The only reason I am barely giving them 3 stars is because the place is nit bad. It has lots of plants and...some modern mosaic.More

Terrible restaurant I ordered lamp chops that weren’t eatable. The owner didn’t even come to ask what was wrong. The service was very slow. IDont ever go to this restaurant This kind of attitude doesn’t deserve any businesses. Iwe were very disappointed. There is a...wide variety of other restaurants. Don’t spent your money on this one,More

My husband and I ate dinner at La Menora . We really enjoyed the dinner . We ordered chicken pastille as an appetizer chicken skewers and ribeye steak and Moroccan cookies for dessert . The restaurant is very romantic and quaint . I guess the...only negative is the waiter was not very friendly at all very cold. I would still go back to the restaurant for the food and atmosphere .More

We stopped by with friends for lunch. Tour guide recommended. Great local place. My wife had chicken skewers that were delicious. I had the lamb chops. Totally different than what you get in the USA. Okay, too much bone and fat with little lean meat....Our friends had the chicken and it was ok. It was a chicken thigh and leg. A chicken breast would have been more desirable. The provided appetizers and bread was a nice plus. Wine and beer reasonably priced. Atmosphere was quaint and very comfortable. Server was very friendly and efficient. Try it. Sure you will like the place.More

Recommended by our tour guide in Rabat and close to our hotel, 6 of us visited on a Thursday evening. Food was delicious...I had beef skewer tagine and meat cigars as an appetizer, both were flavorful and well prepared. Hubby's lamb he called a religious...experience, but he's a real foodie. Bread and small appetizer/olives served with dinner. Prices were reasonable. .. $415 DH for 2 with appetizer, entrees, drink and 1 decadent dessert. Lovely garden room with mosaic tiles and plenty of ambience. Lost 1 star for being out of several menu selections.More

We visited as part of a large party, so had a set meal. The chicken tagine was splendid with plenty of lemon. Fresh oranges with cinnamon for dessert was a delight. Polite and friendly service.

It is located in an elegant old house with what I'd describe as an indoor enclosed patio with beautiful woodwork, tiling, and plants and a fountain, etc. The setting is intimate and romantic. The beef dish with prunes was my favorite in Morocco. Located a...short block or two from Hotel Le Dirwan.More
