My partner and I ate here, weary and a bit apprehensive of whether Moroccan food would agree with out tired travellers' bellies, on our first night in Rabat. We needn't have worried. The food at Tajine wa Tanjia was absolutely superb. Both my partner and I had the tajine chameau, reasoning that it was probably a while before we had... More

We had the lamb and chicken tajine. Both were tasty, but not much different than any other restaurant. Menu was in french, but the waiter friendly and able to translate as needed. One of the few restaurants that served alcohol. Nice ambiance with soft live music.

I loved this place, everything starts with a lovely atmosphere that immerses you with all the decoration and music on the background sang by a local player with a typical instrument. Then, speaking about food, everything is delicious, I tried several dishes which I personally loved, pastilla, tajine pruneaux, tanjia chameau (made of camel) all the different flavors from this... We ate here twice while in Rabat and were pleased both times. I'm usually a little leery about restaurants located close to the rail station but they had a great selection of traditional Maroccan entrees as well as a local specialty called tanjia which was terrific. Yummy Moroccan salad assortment.

This is a fantastic restaurant for tajine. We had the sweet chicken tajine. The starter was Moroccan salad . Which was to die for. Very warm and friendly welcome. Very close to the Garde de Rabbat Ville station.A must visit when in Rabbat. They also have music in the evenings. Booking would be a good idea if you want to... More

We were staying in a local hotel and really wanted to have a good tagline dish. Googled and came across this place. Its tacked away just round the Mohammed V tamp station. Chicken tajine was absolutely amazing and so was the Moroccan salad plus the soup. Staff are friendly and we still have a few days to go before we... More

Tucked away on a side road leading from the train station, Tajine Wa Tanjia offers a rare collection of Moroccan food. While Tajines are relatively well known, the Tanjias are not and they are worth savouring. The food is superb, the service impeccable and the setting as close to authentic Berber that you can get. The prices are reasonable and... More

Very cozy, warm, and hospitable. It is a very nice place, with a typical Moroccan setting; the food is as good as home cooking, prices are reasonable, and the staff are great too.

We went on the advice of the owner of our Riad. The place is next to the tram lines and once inside, it has a very typical old Morocco feel. Their speciality, the Tanjia, is a meat stew cooked in a clay pot with a tightly sealed aluminum foil lid. They "pop" the lid when they bring it to the... More

This is a lovely atmospheric restaurant and one of the few places where I could find a sweet Tajine which was excellent.
