We came for dinner and enjoy the beautiful, secluded terrace, which we had all to ourselves. At sunset, we were treated to a gorgeous spectacle of swallows and cranes swooping overhead in endless circles - a breathtaking sight. The food was good (nothing spectacular, but no complaints) and they do serve alcohol.

Best food in Meknes. Large portions, beautifully cooked and very tasty. We could not eat all the food and would share a meal next time we go and we will definitely be going back. The Riad is stunning and the terrace is a lovely overlooking the lit up city.

Nice view, average food, serves Moroccan wine (not very impressive). Harrira soup was nice (the quantity served was huge). My wife enjoyed her neck of lamb with prunes. My Couscous Royale was very ordinary, except for the quantity, which could easily have fed three people. Tip to the management: reduce the quantity and increase the quality.

Along Rowamzine there are steps leading upto the outer wall of the mosque, once at the top, the entrance to the restaurant is the next door on the left the climb is worth it but for the view of the valley that splits the old & new Meknes,..in a lovely decored open plan restaurant. The food is fresh and well... More

I love this place. Can be a bit hard to find if you aren't used to it, but lovely. A great setting, lovely food and friendly staff - a lovely rooftop terrace view in the evenings - I just get drawn back - their Harira soup is to die for

I had a slow roasted lamb with prunes and apricots, my partner had the couscous royal, and we enjoyed our meal with a bottle of the local Meknes wine. This was easily one of the best meals we had in our weeklong stay in Casablanca-Fes-Meknes areas. The place itself has a very unassuming front, but as you climb up the... More

This restaurant was amazingly beautiful! We decided to sit on the terrace and got a great view of the city. The food was reasonably priced for the quality of food. I would recommend getting a bottle of wine with your meal. Service was great, that were very helpful! It's hard to find but find some locals and they will help... More

As I worked in the region many years ago we came to Morocco to please our taste buds - this place is superb and even exceeded our high expectations. Great authentic food with good views and professional service. We went back the next day and enjoyed food and atmosphere again. Superb!

Lonely Planet 's guide to Morocco was brilliantly helpful and accurate , with this one glaring exception. We could have missed this gem of an experience ,given the underwhelming review of its menu , but a higher rated Meknes restaurant let us down . If you want the best of Moroccan food, wine and service , romantic views of Meknes,... More

Ate here one evening so can't speak for the daytime views which must be spectacular. Freezing cold although they put me under what seemed to be the only patio-type heater they had. The harira was outstanding, the chicken tagine less so and the fresh orange with cinnamon tasted as if it had been on a long journey. Great service and... More
