Restaurant Oumnia had fantastic food. When we came in no one was at the restaurant. However, we were ushered into a cozy, traditional Moroccan home where we settled in. We ordered a vegetable tagine and a salad and the food was truly excellent. However, the chef's husband was a bit abrasive--when we asked for more bread, we were chastised, but... More

We visited the restaurant with my family (2 children) around 8 PM and think the restaurant already closed, but not yet. It is very beautiful restaurant indeed! Food also very delicious, mint tea also very good taste and price is also cheap. Definitely we will comeback again to this restaurant if we visit Meknes in the future.

I thought the restaurant was closed until i walked past a shuttered shop to a garishly-lit entrance, and I'm glad i took those extra few steps. The restaurant is just off the main road (rouamzine) so isn't too loud. The food was very nice, had a tagine of veal marinated in a prune and fig sauce and it was a... More

We were referred here by our Riad. This place was the best meal I had my entire trip. Not only was the food amazing and authentic, the environment was cozy and exactly what you expect in Morocco. I would love to return for another meal! (Prices good too!)

This out-of-the-way place (outside the medina) is worth the effort it takes to find it. The night we ate here we were the only customers, but we felt more like guests in someone's home. The restaurant area is adjacent to the family home and your food is actually prepared in the family kitchen. And the food was exceptional! Presented with... More

If you want good authentic food and wish to experience local culture this is the place. It is not fast food because it's fresh.

We spent a week in Morocco and had tagine every day, once twice a day. It is the national go-to dish. Omnia is a small, hole in the wall family place. A kind old man seated us and then a large woman who seemed to be in charge took over. I had the prune tagine and it was easily the... More

Best family style food in Morocco, the place is quaint and lovely, just like the family that runs it. You are welcomed into their restaurant ( or living room ) through inconspicuous alley and metal door to an aged but beautifully decorated dining room. The food was too good and the Moroccan shortbread at the end was too die for!... More
