Having visited Marrakech 5 times this is one of our regulars. It is in the cute Spice square and perfect for just a drink amidst souk shopping or a cost effective dinner. The staff are friendly, food good and best of all the prices are...super reasonable. Its also a lovely spot for a rest and people watching in the daytime. Sure we will be back for years to come.More

We popped into this very popular cafe mid-afternoon following a couple of hours wandering through the souks. We were lucky to snag a table, which was a little uncomfortable for being so low, but we managed our tea and very nice house-made cakes regardless. The...views over the bustling spice market below and over the medina generally are great. Service was decent if a little perfunctory. Card payments are accepted.More

Only 5 mins gentle walk from the main entrance of the souk and most importantly only a couple of turns in and you find Spice Square (it used to have a much darker reason for it’s existence but you can find that out yourself). Cafe...Épices is a lovely (sun soaked in the early morning spot with friendly staff. Sit on the ground floor to see the basket stall holders setting up or sit on the roof to see all the stuff you were not expecting and enjoy the view across the souk Have the Spiced Coffee! Wow We like to arrive around 9.30 before it’s busy, everything changes an hour later and all the tourists (I know, we were tourists) turn up EnjoyMore

Really disappointing. It's in all the guidebooks and was very busy. Terrace was nice. Waiter was pleasant. Food very disappointing, not much of it and not very nice either. Drinks very expensive compared with other places and 7% service charge added insult to injury. Bit...annoyed with myself, feel I should've know it was overrated.More

We chose Cafè des Epices for dinner based on its online reputation and it was actually very good. Central location, very good value for money, nice berber setting, nice view on the market, tasty but light recipes, kind staff. We did not have any hint...from the staff that the kitchen would close at 22.30 (I had seen on the web that closing hours were at 23.00), so when we ordered the dessert at 22.36 and we were told it was too late it was very frustrating for us, since it was my friend's birthday and we wanted to celebrate. However the waitress explained the situation to the kitchen staff and they made an exception for us, so we were served two delicious desserts right away. It was very kind of them and truly appreciated! I would definitely recommend Café des Epices to those who want to try a typical moroccan food experience.More
