About
In 2014, Kamal Laftimi and Sebastian de Gzell took over an old carpet store off the famed Rahba Lakdima spice square (places des épices) and, alongside interior designer Romain Meniere, transformed it into “Nomad”. With a strong emphasis on fresh local produce and ample variety for vegetarians, pescetarians, and carnivores alike, the lively restaurant serves simple “Modern Moroccan” cuisine: revisions of traditional local cuisine and international dishes with a Moroccan twist. Spread over 4 floors, with intimate dining rooms and two levels of terraces that offer fantastic views of the surrounding Medina and Atlas mountain range (when visible between November and May), Nomad is perfect for both

Ate once for dinner on the rooftop (very romantic) and once for lunch inside. Both times the food was great. Would recommend!

Nice, place for lunch if you are having a walk in the Marrakesh market. The terraze is the place to seat because it is fresh although the view over the roofs over the neigborhood is not the nicest one. Service and food are decent although...a little expansive. The little pastries filled with cheese are the best, tajina is O.K but nothing to write back home.More

My family and I enjoyed a lunch at NOMAD during our trip to Marrakech in November, 2019. We were seated on the rooftop terrace. The food was great and the atmosphere and ambience were even better. We had a wonderful view of the medina and...Café des Épices across the square. I would agree with others that this restaurant is quite tight-seated. The person at the table beside us actually had to get up, so that I could squeeze through the two tables to my seat. However, the crowds are to be expected at such a popular tourist hotspot. And it did not take away from the meal and experience in the slightest. Overall, our favourite lunch in Marrakech!More

My friend and I ate at Nomad’s rooftop terrace our first day in Marrakech after receiving several recommendations. We split the vegetarian pastilla, vegetarian plate, and roasted cauliflower. Everything was fresh, light, and tasty yet very filling. Service was friendly, and the view was awesome....It’s a popular choice for a reason! None of the food I tried blew me away, but it was all good, and I would definitely go back!More

Went for lunch, slow service albeit on a good table overlooking the Place Des Epices. Food was rather average by comparison with other restaurants we visited. Overrated!More

I personally don’t love tight seated restaurants; so that’s always a challenge for me; but other than that, the service was great, food was good, and atmosphere was very nice. I enjoyed everything my boyfriend and I tried on the menu/ which made up for...everything else!More

The place is nice but the service is terrible. It was difficult to find once we found out we had to go up three floors and we asked for a kids menu because it had a hamburger and they said it was not possible because...I was not a kidMore

It is difficult to stand out as a restaurant in Marrakesh, where you can find excellent and affordable food almost on every corner. Nomad is positioning itself a little higher than average when it comes to pricing, but to my experience the quality of food...and cooking is not different to some of the cheaper eateries. The food is still nice, just overpriced for what it is. I paid 400 dirhams for a compete dinner, and to be honest my other dinner at a market tent for 100 dirhams was better and tastier. The grilled bone marrow is somewhat unique, you can't get that in many other restaurants. If you want to try it, I can recommend. The squid in tomato sauce however was firm and chewy, which means it wasn't properly prepared. The artichoke was hard and under-cooked as well. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and polite, up to a Western-European standard which is relatively rare in Morocco. Well done for the service! You can't pay straight to the waiters though, you can only pay at the exit where a middle aged lady was taking all the payments at a cashier. Unfortunately this lady was a little rude, didn't even say thank you or good bye. Overall I find Nomad overpriced for local standards, for this money you can have three dinners elsewhere and they might taste better.More

Worth it for the setting, atmosphere and the super friendly staff who were so lovely to our baby. It was a nice bit of stylish calm after the medina. But the food was disappointing for what you pay. We ordered the burger and calamari and...both were so-so. But the complimentary bread they gave to our son was lovely.More

Yes they do. I used Amex (a tricky one in general), so I am quite sure they will accept all other major cards.
