About
In 2014, Kamal Laftimi and Sebastian de Gzell took over an old carpet store off the famed Rahba Lakdima spice square (places des épices) and, alongside interior designer Romain Meniere, transformed it into “Nomad”. With a strong emphasis on fresh local produce and ample variety for vegetarians, pescetarians, and carnivores alike, the lively restaurant serves simple “Modern Moroccan” cuisine: revisions of traditional local cuisine and international dishes with a Moroccan twist. Spread over 4 floors, with intimate dining rooms and two levels of terraces that offer fantastic views of the surrounding Medina and Atlas mountain range (when visible between November and May), Nomad is perfect for both

Uninspired and boring Nomad is a pretty strange place. While the menu reads well and the composition of the dishes seems interesting, the reality is quite disappointing: good quality ingredients are combined in an uninspired way. And while the food lacks flavour, some of the...drinks are just plainly awful. Dry bread and a shabby ambience round off a weak overall picture. Maybe the place has a great view during daytime, but it’s definitely not worthwhile at nighttime.More

We had a wonderful meal and could tell that they used great ingredients. The roof top ambience was wonderful with unhurried and very attentive and friendly service. A highly recommended refuge in a hectic city!!

We had a good dinner at Nomad, would recommend booking if you would like to sit out on the roof terrace. It is more European feeling than other local restaurants. The menu was clearly noted for gluten free options (I'm coeliac) and the food was...tasty.More

Nomad came highly recommended and we were all Luke warm at best. The rooftop is nice and the vibe was energetic without being a scene. But the food was disappointing. And typical for many restaurants in Morocco, no alcohol.

This place was recommended twice so I had to visit. Good views over the market square and good menu. We had lunch and all non-alcoholic menu. Not sure if different in the evening. Great food and service.

My daughter and I were directed to this restaurant by our guide. The location was super convenient. The decor was very pleasant. The tables are close together and it is quite popular, so be prepared for “cozy” seating. We sat on the top floor and...it was a lovely day. The food tasted excellent and we especially enjoyed the desserts! The wait staff on this floor appeared to be standing around chatting with each other rather than being focused on customers. One table grouping actually got up and left after servers tended to other customers and seemed to ignore them.More

Went to Nomad without a reservation and was sat within 10 minutes. Had the meze and lentil salad to start and then the lamb burger and a beef tagline. All were very good and the best part was the warm date pudding. Expensive for Morocco...but reasonable if you accept the style of restaurant and it’s rooftop locationMore

i had read this has become ne of the fashionable restauarnts in the marrakech kasbah, so im ade an online reservation weeks in advance. our arrival was a bit chaotic. a lot of people trying to be seated. the hostess was overpassed and she was...not friendly in that moment.we had a reservation for 20.30 hrs and were seated around 9 pm. once we were seated, things went well. despite the tables were too close and the view from the terrace is nothing from another planet, the service was fast and friendly and the food was very good. the sardine tart was great, lamb chops were good, the squid were very good and the choclate cake, excelent (the cake was complimentary, as i mentioned that it was my wife's birthday when i made the reservation). no alcohol is offered. price was reasonable.More

We had a lovely meal here at Nomad. The food was very good and the appetizers were amazing. We were a party of four and found it odd that for one of our three appetizers, the eggplant dish, they only gave us 3 little breads....We asked for another (as we were four people) and the waitress seemed to forget about us. So on the food I’d say wonderful and on the service it was ok. It was busy, but from my view I could see the wait staff standing around talking a lot and not paying too much attention to their customers.More

Book in advance, the restaurant was full, but not packed. We were seated on the roof and the view was nice. We had the sun setting, and a small market slowly lighting up. Thr atmosphere for sure was 10/10. The food was also great. I...ordered the Grill Lamb Chops, and my brother got the braised beef tagine. I do not like Lamb, and I sucked those bones dry. The Tagine was great. Very filling.More

Yes they do. I used Amex (a tricky one in general), so I am quite sure they will accept all other major cards.
