I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. It is in the middle of the souk - look out for the blackboard advertising the fixed price menu. I cannot imagine getting better value for money anywhere else in Marrakesh. I agree, Maria, the Spanish hostess, was a real asset and a great source of local knowledge. The food was excellent and... If you are in Marrakesh, visit this beautiful restaurant. Great service, freshly made dishes, fabulous location in the midst the bustling souks, and very reasonably priced. We went there for lunch, twice, and it was lovely. The highlight is MARIA, the crazy, loveable and bubbly Spanish hostess who helped us book our day excursions and gave us helpful and fantastic... The view over Marrakech at sunset made the visit to La Porte du Marrakesh worthwhile, even though we both thought the chicken tagine (one with figs, the other with almonds) was pretty average. That said, both the service and the bread was excellent!

We found this by chance walking the same route many times. The terrace is on the 3rd floor & when up there there is little noise or pollution. The service is great & value for money - the best we had in Marrakech.... the salads are huge... so good we made it a regular lunch time stop ( so did... More

Not only were we able to escape the intolerable 108 degree heat, the food was delicious, the portions huge and the price unbeatable. Friendly service was the icing on the cake. Basic decor and not terribly comfortable chairs, but recommended nevertheless.

This restaurant fills up from the top down to the bottom. As a result, anyone passing by would think there were no patrons. But ignore the empty tables and climb the stairs. The top floor is a terrace with views of the neighbouring medina. The service is good , the food is good and the prices are very low, especially... More

Had the 3 course set menu for 60 dhirams at lunch time. Sat on the sunny roof terrace and enjoyed good service. You could have soup or salad to start, we had one of each and both were good, then a great choice of cous cous, tagine and pastilla dishes for main course. One of us had chicken cous cous... More

We went in of the great deal of 3-course dinner for 60 MAD so we shouldn't expect much. The fact that we couldn't eat on the roof terrace is something that can happen. But forgetting our orders after half an hour was the first fail. Then they tried to give us tap water instead of mineral water which we noticed... More
