This lovely Riad (a former palace) tucked away down an alley in the Medina has a superb restaurant with a kitchen run by 2 chefs, one Italian and one Moroccan, each having their own menu. Mix and match is no problem though. We visited twice during our week in Marrakesh and found the food to be excellent and the staff... More

I think pasta is their specialty but we ordered the tagine dishes since we can get pasta anywhere in the US. The tagine dishes weren't great, not seasoned very well.

Returned to Marrakech we made our usual reservation at Pepe Nero. Returned for our 7th visit. Originally the booking was for a table for two. Having met some fantastic friends at our hotel during our week we wanted them to experience Pepe Nero so we invited them to join us. Staff were welcoming and friendly as usual. Our table was... Brought my sister here for her birthday , food was great. Don't normally eat meat on holiday but got recommended by friends in England to come here so had the chicken and it just fall off the bone , really good . Never had a empty wine or water glass. It's a beautiful setting sat by the pool with all... More

We ate at the restaurant last night. We were greeted on the street by Mourad who walked us to the restaurant-a nice touch! Our table was in the garden area-beautiful and very romantic-the waiter was excellent and informative. We had a chef's salad followed by delicious homemade aubergine ravioli-probably the best we have ever tasted! The Moroccan Medallion wine was outstanding. We ended... More

Very romantic and nice ambiance but the food was not great. My husband had linguini that was very bland and I had the typical Moroccan lamb tagine that was just ok. The next day we took a cooking class and the tagine I made was much better and more flavourful. The service, however, was outstanding.

We were a last minute booking for this restaurant and delighted we got a place. Gorgeous surroundings and atmosphere. The food was very tasty - salmon starter and beef main. Cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Expensive for Marrakech but worth what you pay.

The environment is classic and romantic. The food is delicious: the orange duck and lasagna are recommended. The welcome drink is tasty. The desserts are mellow. The service is professional. You should not miss it when you visit Marrakech. Lovely restaurant indeed

I'll first start with the bad things; fish. Please never eat fish in Marrakesh, ever! NOT ANYWHERE so also not in this fancy restaurant! My girlfriend and me both had the salmon tartar as a starter. This was last Thursday. Now, the Thursday after, we are both still sick from food poisoning. Marrakesh is far away from the sea and... More

PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.
