Cheap and tasty

Simple traditional Moroccan food at very democratic price. Nice staff. Sufficiently clean. Visited by local people and tourist. We paid 9 euros for two persons! Highly recommended

We arrived in Marrakech after a day-long train ride, and wanted a quick meal. Our riad suggested this restaurant and we were all happy with it. While there were tourists (like us) there, most of the diners were locals which is always a good sign. The orders were taken quickly and the food brought hot to the table in a... More

If you want ambiance and romance, this place ain't for you. However, if you plan on spending a long day walking around the souks and Jemaa el Fna then this place is an excellent place to fill up with some decent grub at non-touristy prices. It is brightly lit and clean too, as are the toilets. We had a selections... More

We went with a large group from our tour in between tours. This was a mistake as it took thirty minutes for us to receive our food. The chicken couscous was pretty average and fairly cheap compared to European restaurants (this was one of the few meals we paid for on our own). If you have to be somewhere fairly... More

My local host recommended me to try this place. Google Map messed up and I almost gave up because I could not find it. Eventually I found it. I ordered Moroccan Salad, Pigeon tagine with almonds, a rice side dish, and a mint tea. The portion was just right. Everything was delicious and costs only $6. It's just honest good... More

My husband and I went here for lunch after reading reviews and it being mentioned on booking.com as cheap and tasty. I had chicken tagine with chips. This was okay, chicken was overcooked and dry. My husband ate chicken tagine with couscous. He had not eaten anything else that day. Unfortunately for the next three days he was unwell with... More

My private tour guide took me here for lunch. I initially thought it would be an overpriced tourist trap. However, the price point was really good and affordable! Food was pretty good! Definitely get the fries and do into your tagine! I would highly recommend!

Don't expect an amazing ambiance or environment, or even service worth writing about. But provided you go expecting cheap local eats, you'll get exactly what you're looking for. The crowd in the restaurant was a majority locals and we sampled a few of the dishes of the region. Pretty good food.

The grilled food is excellent. I would recommend the lamb kabobs. Grilled chicken as well. 2 meals 2 drinks for $9.60 total.
