We had a great meal, we tried the Moroccan salads to start followed by the Kelfta and Vegetarian tagines. Really delicious, couldn't manage dessert. The staff are also really pleasant, friendly and attentive. Special mention to Mary on the door for her welcoming smile... I'll definitely be back!

We turned up without a booking on a Saturday evening but the staff were nice enough to accommodate us even though we did wait slightly longer to be served. The setting is beautiful, so romantic and calming. I had the vegetation couscous and my husband had the chicken couscous and both were exceptional. It's only a simple dish you'd think... More

Yes its a little hard to find but it is worthwhile. We had our two yr old son with us who got to spend some time dancing with the waiters. The food was un believable but our only issue is they didnt bring us our drinks until after we finished eating. We did ask 4 times before we got them... More

It is a bit tricky to find, just follow the signs. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is an awesome, old Riad with nice atmosphere. The food was delightful. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. We had the lamb tajine and the couscous with candid fruits (don't remember the name) which were both... More

Great Moroccan food. The restaurant is beautifully restored home with a large central court yard and several rooms around it. We sat in the, currently covered courtyard, safe from the rain. Low light, quite corners with plenty of space between tables. Music playing at the right level to be enjoyed but not over powering conversations. The staff was the best.... More

Amazing location, hidden away but well worth finding. The front door in an alleyway was a leap of faith, but inside there's an amazing courtyard. The food was excellent.

This is truly one of a kind place. It's in a restored 500 year old Riad that's kind of hard to find. If you have a big group get a reservation. The place is breathtaking. The screaming in the kitchen wasn't necessarily good. The manager person seemed to be upset ever time he went into the kitchen. They should add... More

Gorgeous place, initial welcome and service was warm and inviting. Once he food was ordered, attentiveness went downhill and the wait for food was very long (over 30 minutes). Not all dishes came at the same time as well. Food was pleasant without any real highlights. Lamb tagine was the best dish, but needs sides to accompany

Description
Situated in the very heart of the souks, this building is a hidden secret, only found by the discerning and curious visitor, where history is recorded in the delicate tracery of the stucco and skilfully carved wood. In the year 2000 , Marrakech Riads, a leading player in the restoration of the riads of Marrakech, brought Dar Cherifa back to life, and simultaneously unveiled a hidden treasure of the medina, the refined decor of this building recalling that of the Medersa Ben Youssef, jewel of the Saadian era (16th century) and one of the finest monuments of Marrakech. Renovated with the greatest care and attention to detail, with the participation of renowned craftsmen so as to maintain its authenticity and splendour, Dar Cherifa welcomes all visitors eager to meet new and interesting people. It is a real cultural venue, hosting regular exhibitions, workshops, concerts and events. This inimitable space draws one into a meditative state of mind and heart. Everyone fortunate enough to visit this building says that they breathe an atmosphere of peace and serenity the minute they cross the threshold. The mention of Moroccan culture immediately implies Moroccan cuisine, and what more beguiling setting than this pure and refined interior for sampling a cuisine abounding in cultural exchange; a subtle blend of sweet and sour, the inheritance of Berber, Jewish and Arab-Andalucian influences. Enjoy!
