Right out of the way, but well worth searching out. Shared starters and Kefta tajine and the creme brûlée with my partner. More than enough and very delicious. Drinks menu has no alcohol but juices are stunning. View from the rooftop is exceptional. Great choice for a romantic dinner in the oldest building in the medina!

It is not so easy to find out this spot, but once you are in, you will find a relaxed place in the middle of the crowd and business of souqs. The food is amazing - cous cous is excellent and the service fast and polite. Before leaving, a visit to the building is a must. Definitely one of the... More

Recommended in our guide book. We were fairly confident in the Souks when we visited so were able to find easily enough (it is signed from main "drag"). Need to knock on door to enter, but warmly greeted. Lovely quiet Riad, good choice of food, lovely surroundings, great service. Once you have been around the Souks for a while this... More

For sure is worth a visit, very good food, good service plus you will seat down in the oldest house (Riad) of Marrakesh 100% sure you will have a good time! Don't miss the creme brule on the end!

It's a little tricky to find at the end of winding back alleys and we had to ring a bell at a door with only a small sign... but inside it looked great, staff was very friendly and the food was good and decently priced.

A delicious meal at Dar Cherifa! Highly recommend you speak with them in advance to arrange for someone to guide you to and from to restaurant to avoid any problems locating! Lamb tagine was by far the best I had with 9 days in Morocco, also the best creme brûlée of the trip! Beautiful location, also take a look at... More

The setting is quite spectacular and it's worth the visit. However the food is very plain and almost tasteless. Disappointing.

According to the price and dining environment , I expect a fine dining. In reality, Tajine, couscous and fish pastille is the worst among many restaurants from fine dining to street food I have tasted in Morroco. I 'm a food lover. I lived in France and China for long time and traveled a lot every year to find good... More

This was one of the best meals I had in Morocco. The restaurant is a bit difficult to find but definitely worth the search. We had the Harira soup, lamb tangine, cous cous with lamb, and beef left a tangine. All were absolutely delicious. Service was great and the ambiance was great. The dinner cost about $50 - which is... More

Situated in the very heart of the souks, this building is a hidden secret, only found by the discerning and curious visitor, where history is recorded in the delicate tracery of the stucco and skilfully carved wood. In the year 2000 , Marrakech Riads, a leading player in the restoration of the riads of Marrakech, brought Dar Cherifa back to life, and simultaneously unveiled a hidden treasure of the medina, the refined decor of this building recalling that of the Medersa Ben Youssef, jewel of the Saadian era (16th century) and one of the finest monuments of Marrakech. Renovated with the greatest care and attention to detail, with the participation of renowned craftsmen so as to maintain its authenticity and splendour, Dar Cherifa welcomes all visitors eager to meet new and interesting people. It is a real cultural venue, hosting regular exhibitions, workshops, concerts and events. This inimitable space draws one into a meditative state of mind and heart. Everyone fortunate enough to visit this building says that they breathe an atmosphere of peace and serenity the minute they cross the threshold. The mention of Moroccan culture immediately implies Moroccan cuisine, and what more beguiling setting than this pure and refined interior for sampling a cuisine abounding in cultural exchange; a subtle blend of sweet and sour, the inheritance of Berber, Jewish and Arab-Andalucian influences. Enjoy!
