I found this restaurant on tripadvisor, and follow google map to there, by the ally, there was a guy asked us whether we come to Dar Cherifa, I thought he was those sales people, but actually he is working for the restaurant. It takes us few turns to go to that place. The restaurant located in deep of ally, it... More

As with most other people here, we went to Dar Cherifa based on the Tripadvisor reviews because there is no way you would ever stumble across it. Down a lane, off a lane, off another lane and at the end of the 4th lane was an unassuming door with a small sign beside it. We couldn't open the door and... More

We arrived mid afternoon with big eyes and empty stomachs, our eyes are still big, but our stomachs are full! The service was impeccable, the food was magnificent, and the beauty of the Riad was magical. I had the cous cous with chicken and vegetables and it was fantastic, the chicken fell off the bone, the cous cous was light... More

We were keen to visit here due to the reviews on TripAdvisor. The place itself is beautiful & the food was excellent but a bit hard to find, there is a lovely chap who works there and he guided us to the restaurant from the main road. The reason for our rating is what follows next: The lady that met... More

Although it is a little hard to find I can assure it is completely worth it. They had a member of staff stationed on the larger road outside to help guide you which was extremely useful. The food is really good quality and delicious and the staff are very friendly and helped us understand the menu more. Also the building... More

Me and my husband visited this restaurant after it came up on trip advisor as a restaurant that was close to where we were staying. We arrived around 7pm which was early for dinner in marrakesh. As described by others it is a difficult place to find especially the door as it just looks like any other door on the... More

Go here. For the price of an average dinner in London (35 pounds for 2 people) we had two beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and full flavoured meals, followed by spiced coffee and sumptuous pastries. The traditional lamb leg was particularly delightful. The setting is somewhere between ancient palace and chic hotel. The accompanying library and rooftop terrace make this place... More

The restaurant was recommeded by our riad's owner. The atmosphere was very good and the food was great! You can choose to sit at the roof top where you can have a glance at the medina or you can dine inside the restaurant. It was full house so booking is recommended.

It was on the high ratings of TripAdvisor that we decided to make every effort to locate this restaurant. We had our trusty map and managed to find the signs that lead to the unassuming door but were intercepted by a young man (who worked for the restaurant) and he showed us along the final stage of the labyrinth. Walking... More

Very quiet place, with delicious dishes and affordable prices. The employees are very kind and speak many languages. There are a beautiful rooftop. However they don't have AC, for that reason you should try to have your dinner later in the night.

Description
Situated in the very heart of the souks, this building is a hidden secret, only found by the discerning and curious visitor, where history is recorded in the delicate tracery of the stucco and skilfully carved wood. In the year 2000 , Marrakech Riads, a leading player in the restoration of the riads of Marrakech, brought Dar Cherifa back to life, and simultaneously unveiled a hidden treasure of the medina, the refined decor of this building recalling that of the Medersa Ben Youssef, jewel of the Saadian era (16th century) and one of the finest monuments of Marrakech. Renovated with the greatest care and attention to detail, with the participation of renowned craftsmen so as to maintain its authenticity and splendour, Dar Cherifa welcomes all visitors eager to meet new and interesting people. It is a real cultural venue, hosting regular exhibitions, workshops, concerts and events. This inimitable space draws one into a meditative state of mind and heart. Everyone fortunate enough to visit this building says that they breathe an atmosphere of peace and serenity the minute they cross the threshold. The mention of Moroccan culture immediately implies Moroccan cuisine, and what more beguiling setting than this pure and refined interior for sampling a cuisine abounding in cultural exchange; a subtle blend of sweet and sour, the inheritance of Berber, Jewish and Arab-Andalucian influences. Enjoy!
