My wife and I visited as part of a Thomson excursion from the Riu Tikida Palmeraie. It was the highlight of the trip for my wife and the best evening we spent from the 11 nights we had in the whole of Morocco. We're so glad we went because it felt like a real authentic Moroccan experience. The setting was... More

All the drinks were in with the price and you can have anything you wanted. We had African music,Belly dancers,... More

What can I say... It all started so well. On arrival for our 8 pm reservation the ambiance and architecture is simply stunning, complete with rose petals in the fountain and incense in the toilets. First warning sign - no wine list and very limited pre dinner drinks. No-one explained what was going on, so 50 mins later our long... More

Diaffa means a feast and that is what Dar Marjana offers. Five or six courses - a bit much for many folks of course! The quality of the food is variable but most of it is great. The starters include lambs' brain and olive salad (do try, surprisingly tasty!) and tajines and couscous follow. There are musicians and a belly... More

Had to sit and wait until all guests had arrived. Then taken in to a very nice dining room where far to much reasonable food was served and a tacky show performed. A bill of 120 or so odd pounds is daylight robbery. Avoid!

Except for the succulent pigeon tagine, the food (huge quantities of which are served) is only average. The entertainment is even more mundane. The service is very friendly, albeit 'commercial' (waiter reminds you that the price does not include service). The setting is historic, intimate and beautiful. At 660 MAD per head, the price is reasonable by international standards. No... More

In an old riad, we first enjoyed the house cocktsil (anise based) in the courtyard while listening to a stringed instrument shaped like a large lute. Dinner is immense so pace yourself. Bar snacks were nicr, reslly enjoyed the spicy olives. Nice assortment of Morriccan salads - very good particularly the eggplant and minced carrrot with rosewster. Most of us... More

From the outside it is just any other building, once through the entrance door a hidden gem of an oasis appears, foodwas tantalising, entertainment first class, along with excellent service. Would recommend to anybody.

8 of us ate there recently. The place is beautiful. It was a treat to sit and have drinks in the open atrium area but less comfortable when we moved into a side room. The whole evening was an experience with traditional music, a belly dancer and a magician waiter. The food was average though and it felt like a... More

Description
The Riad dates back to the 18th century and it has been in the family since then. In 1982, the Riad was turned into a restaurant known as Dar Marjana and still stands strong today.
We provide a variety of delicious Traditional Moroccan dishes, colorful, and tasteful due to the wonderful varieties of the Marrakchi spices! We assure the best service possible, in order to make one feel like home. During desert time, your eyes and ears will be captured by the great entertainment of Gnaouas and belly dancers which will leave you mesmerized. The atmosphere is ever so beautiful, with an ancient Moorish architectural style, a tiled and marbled fountain in the core of the house, and a grand patio garden, with the enchanting voice of a lutenist in the background.
