My friends’ husband recommended we visit Le Riad Monceau, our first attempt of trying to find the place resulted in our group of 8 jumping into 3 taxis which were meant to have dropped us near the hotel but alas we got drop at different sites and never made it to the hotel. Determined we would have a lovely dinner... More

This was the last night of our trip to a few cities in Morocco - we'd had tagines and couscous, but with each bite here, we realized what fine dining in Morocco could be. Great lamb. A little confusing with values of the wine pairing and multiple course meals, but it was sorted and the ambiance by the pool in... More

This was our second night in Marrakech and as we were staying outside of the centre we were keen to get a recommendation from our hotel. They gave us the details on the Riad Monceau and also made a reservation for us. The restaurant is located just off the main square in the medina and down one of the alley... More

Tucked away in the muddling maze of the Medina, after entering through an imposing doorway, you're led through to the dining area in a courtyard patio. Look around as you're waiting for your food, and you'll see countless examples of the elaborate detailing in Moroccan architecture. The tasting menu was absolutely delicious. Course after course, all beautifully presented and tasted... More

The pastilla and the main courses were cooked to perfection. Impeccable and superkind service . Only the dessert wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the dinner. Nontheless absolutely to be reccomanded.

We chose it because it belonged to the Chateau and Hotel group, as did our hotel. Firstly, it was a long walk from the place that the taxi dropped us off, a dirty and dusty walk at that. The menu was only 2 choices of set meals and while it was OK, it just wasn't very interesting. I wouldn't bother... More

We never ate here but, as with many places in the Medina, our hotel didn't sell alcohol but they happily recommended Riad Monceau and our doorman walked us the short way. We were warmly welcomed and sat by a little pool with the stars above, the evening was cool so the waiter brought a heater next to us. I had... More

The restaurant is very centrally located and popular. All but two tables were reserved. Despite not having booked we were lucky to get a table in an intimate space off the main "pool" area. Lucky because it was much warmer there than around the pool where guests were wearing hats and gloves! The service was ok, if very slow and... More

In comparison with other, similar, establishments, there is little to set it apart. The tables sit around a pool (somewhat close to the edge for my liking) in a very pleasant courtyard. Service is very good. However, it feels rather like somewhere that more moneyed visitors would enjoy and feel safe, rather than an interesting place to have a meal.... More
