God this place was bad! After too many Tagines of dubious quality, my friend and I turned to the LP guidebook for a splurge and some good advice. Unfortunately for us, this particular tidbit of info was actually a turd, and a really big one at that! Sorry, but bad food is bad food. You don't have to be a... More

Two friends and I arrived at the restaurant in the labyrinths of the medina (might be useful to get guided here). Firstly I want to address the bad reviews and why you should be wary of bad/good reviews. I'm perplexed as to why a place like this which serves delicious homely food received bad reviews but a place like 'Chez... More

We went here on the advice of our Lonely Planet book, and we were not disappointed. After struggling to find the place, we arrived around 9:00 PM and were the only guests. We were a little worried, but they quickly turned on the lights and seated us at a very comfy table. The food started arriving shortly, and it was... More

Please stick with me while I spin a tale of woe traditionally reserved for those who see The Sixth Sense and then enter a theatre excitedly prepared for the next round of Shyamylanian magnificence. With no chefs, customers or indeed light in sight we entered, emboldened by the reviews you are presently digesting. The (apparently) singular staff member greeted us... More

We were taken to this restaurant by a nice man whose own restaurant we were directed to but was closed for Christmas day. MISTAKE. Lovely restaurant, nice people but 300 DH for what we had was way overpriced for Fes and all of Morocco. Lots of food but the chicken with lemon was so dry and tough that it was... More

We visited this restaurant on the basis of a Lonely Planet recommendation - and came away with the impression that the quality must have really slipped since the guide was published. This is reflected by the fact that recent TripAdvisor reviews are much worse than the older ones. The deal is that you pay 200 dirhams (quite a high price... More

We had a couscous and vegetable dish which went back almost uneaten as it was soggy, overcooked and unpalatable. Maybe that is a traditional dish but definitely not to western taste. The first course, chicken dishes and third course were ok but cost more than comparable meals elsewhere

Following the lonely planet recommendation, we ended up in this badly located establishment. The food was very average, not abundant, and definitely not worth the 200dh for the menu. Not to mention that we never saw the pastries that were promised on the menu and the wine suspiciously doubled in price between the verbal information from the waiter and the... More

The main reason for which I would not recommend this restaurant is that they tried to cheat me with the price. When I entered the restaurant, I asked them which is the price for the whole menu and they said 200 dirhams. So I had the lunch. When I asked for the bill, it was 40 dirhams more (which is... More
