My husband and I are vegetarians (lacto ovo), and we just returned from a 12 day trip in Morocco. Our best meal during the entire trip was at Dar Hatim where we ate vegetarian Pastilla. It was crunchy on the outside and filled with a delicious mushroom based filling. We also really enjoyed the variety of salads at the start... More

Our tour group leader led us to this little cosy restaurant within the Fes medina. The meal was delicious, service excellent and our host and hostess were delightful company. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a traditional Moroccan meal.

Welcomed into the home of a morrocan family to enjoy their cooking. Food was incredible. Fixed menu of cooked salad, chicken pastillas and creme caramel with ice cream. The food here is sublime and plentiful. I don't think I've ever had a better creme caramel anywhere. The chicken was a beautiful experience in a crunchy pastry with vegetables and a... More

Our riad manager recommended this restaurant. They offer free pick up and drop off at your riad. Lovely family home cum restaurant with ornate furnishings and fixtures. All dishes are homemade by the wife or mother in law. We weren't that hungry so ordered the Chicken Couscous meal to share. It came with a Moroccan salad (8-10 tapas), bread vegetables... More

Perched on the higher side of Fes, this restaurant offered Moroccan music. We were offered tables on the terrace, third floor, no lifts, but service was very prompt. A crowded and noisy but food was fantastic. Prices were reasonable. Waiters were very patient and did not mind cancellation/change of ordered dish. 8 out of 10 for this good restaurant.

You really must visit this place. We originally found it when we got lost while looking for our Riad. They were really good and one of the staff took us to where we were staying. We returned for lunch a few days later. Meal was excellent. Tender lamb. My wife had the 7 vegetable Tangine. Great as well. If you... More

A French chef once said: "There are three diffrent cuisine that top the world's culinary, French cuisine, Chinese Cuisine and Moroccan cuisine, but not in this order". This tagine of prunes is a classic al dish in Morocco. It is by far one of the most balanced and tasty staple you can encouter. It is a combination of salty and... More

The restaurant was full, and quite rightly so. There were 5 of us, and we each ordered something different. Each dish was delish! Must say that the light flaky pastry of the pastilla was perhaps the best. Drinks a little on the expensive side. Do look at the wonderful carved cornices and decorated ceilings. A wholly lovely experience.

Our fantastic riad owner from Riad Ahlam recommended this restaurant. We were promptly picked up and escorted to the drivers family home, which is Dar Hatim. The drivers wife and mother are amazing chefs. My husband and I ordered the chicken pastille and a lamb tagine. They were both superb! After our amazing meal, we were driven back to our... More
