We stayed at Dar Roumana. It is a beautiful Riad with excellent service and food. Beautiful accommodations and well located in the Medina. We had breakfast, dinner, and drinks here. The staff is responsive and accommodating to allergies. We will definitely be back and recommend...us to our friends and family.More

Starting with a friendly and helpful guide to navigate from our hotel in the Fes Medina to the restaurant ( a must in the complex warren of streets ) we were amused to feel a little " speakeasy" as the front door is closed and...one must knock for entrance. Inside is a beautifully restored " dar " ( house ) with well spaced tables situated in the old central court and adjoining rooms. The food was excellent -Moroccan but with lightness and the local wine was very drinkable.More

Dar Roumana is not only a very good restaurant serving local and international dishes, but also a riyad with 5 splendidly appointed period rooms. usually we prefer to eat outside the place where we stay. However when staying at Dar Roumana we ate in each...night because the food and drinks were so good. The service was very friendly and each room has the story of all staff members which made our stay even more friendly. Breakfast was huge, fresh, and good quality. You can have your drinks on the roof and watch the sun set over Fes - quite a struggle up those stairs for the waiter with drinks so we suggest that you offer to take your own drinks up.More

Delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Fish was nicely prepared and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this for a quiet dinner outside of the busy part of the medina

Stayed here for 3 nights with my sister and absolutely loved it! The roof top terrace was a highlight for us. While we didn't eat here, we heard great things about the food. Special mention to both Rachid and Mohammad who went the extra step...to make sure we had a great stay. One of our favourite places we have stayed.More

Our dinner (2 couples) at Dar Roumana was our favorite meal in Fes. It is in a beautiful riad with a nice rooftop terrace to see the city and watch the sunset with cocktails, which we did before our delicious dinner downstairs. The menu was...seasonal and when we were there included peaches with prosciutto and burrata, pumpkin with yogurt sauce, and delicious fish and veal mains. For dessert we adored the poached pear and the crème brûlée. They have a nice wine list with an extensive selection of Moroccan wines. Service was great, and the ambiance is comfortable and relaxing. We used the offered porter to get from and back to our hotel, which was arranged by the restaurant in conjunction with us and our hotel (Riad Fes). This was inexpensive (we just gave the porter a nice tip for his service) and worked out great, so we would definitely recommend this unless you are staying very close by. There weren’t very many people dining on the Tuesday evening we were there, which was nice on one hand because you felt like you were in your own semi-private dinner space, but on the other hand was a shame as it should be full! We would very highly recommend Dar Roumana for anyone wanting a delicious meal in a beautiful setting.More

Dar Roumana's restaurant has great, changing menus. The staff including the chef have been there for years. All of our meals were superbly prepared, delicious (bnin!), and served by a very attentive, English, French, and Moroccan speaking staff. It is a place to treat yourself...to an excellent meal in stunning surroundings. If you have the good luck to stay there, their breakfasts on the terrace are also spectacular. At the Northern edge of the Medina, it is also easier to get to than many.More

Loved our dinner here! Everything was excellent, especially the prawn appetizer and both of our desserts - the crème brûlée and the orange almond cake. Service was excellent as well. Would highly recommend!

There is no charge for the porter unless if you wish to tip him, typically 10 MAD per way is ideal.
