The restaurant was slow and so was the service. The food was good, as it usually is for a chain restaurant. Not great food, but large portions that are consistent with what I have received at other Village Inns. The wait staff where just there. Nothing real good and nothing real bad. But they could have at least smiled a... More

My first visit to this restaurant. I went as they have a sign in the window for free kids meals on Monday and Tuesday. I had my grandson and my niece has her son so we have it a shot. Walked in and noticed the great pies on display. We have picked up pies in the past and they were... More

Been to various village inns in the past which have been great. However, this one failed to meet up to village inn standards. Visited on the 26th December for breakfast, the restaurant was only about 30% full. It was chaos though only a few staff were waiting the tables and the manger was all flustered too. They were actually turning... More

January2015 Village Inn has buy one, get one free on Sundays on skillets. I tried the chicken cordon bleu and it was really good. It came with pancakes. This place has very friendly staff and is clean and I got a corner that was warm on a very cold day. Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids. Despite many children... More

Staff was helpful and friendly. They quickly fixed an issue with some undercooked eggs and took great care of us. Food was good.

I wasn't feeling well, and went there for breakfast at about noon. They were willing to make changes to their standard menu options, which I greatly appreciated.

Three out of four of us ordered breakfast for dinner. Only parts of the order were brought out and we were told the rest would be coming. Who would want to eat eggs with no toast, hash browns, or sausage! The eggs were getting cold by the time the rest of the order arrived. Eggs ordered over hard were sent... More

We stopped in for breakfast one morning while in Ankeny. Village Inn offers many breakfast standards. All are well prepared and we were very pleased with our breakfast. The restaurant is clean and the staff is pleasant and friendly. I would not hesitate to eat there again.
