I took my granddaughters for lunch at the Village Inn on a Saturday. The place was busy but we were still seated quickly. The host was very sweet with my granddaughters in helping them choose where to sit. Our waiter, Hunter came right away and got our drink order and was back and ready for our selections. My one granddaughter... More

In the old days I had my first coffee and desert dates from Match.com at Village Inn. It is right off I-35 at the First Street Exit in Ankeny. It has free parking. It has lots of booths and lots of tables with chairs. It is quiet so you can talk and hear each other. It has a multiple page... More

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast as we were on our way to Christmas shop. There was only one waitress for the whole place. She did a great job and was very pleasant the whole time. The food was good. The only negative was I was to have avocado with my dish and it wasn't there.

I went to this Village inn after a bad experience prior to this. I was seated within seconds, the server was at my table right after, her service was great and my breakfast was wonderful. Full carafe of coffee brought to my table as well

We stopped for a late breakfast on a Sunday around 11:30. We waited for about 15 minutes to be seated while there were plenty of empty tables which stayed empty the whole almost 2 hrs we were in there. People waited the whole time we were there while those tables stayed empty. We didn't get it. The food was ok.... More

This place is hit or miss when it comes to service and food but always five stars on pie. In the last couple years they have remodeled. I feel partly because a similar chain moved to town. If you come when service isn't great they will usually make it up to you. The prices are decent and if anything isn't... More

Went here for breakfast like the "V I B" I think that's what it's called where you can pick what you want. I love their breakfast potatoes sooooo good. Their French toast was pretty tasty. I did ask for my bacon to be extra crispy it didn't come out that way but didn't want to wait to have my bacon... More

Sure it is not the cleanest place in the area, but the food is always good and the service is average. I just have always loved their breakfast and haven't had a bad one yet, so will probably stop again someday.

Bussboy went from table to table with used-dish tub and the same rag on several tables. No spray disinfectant. Our table was not clean. I used wet napkin to clean; only moved the grease around.

The restaurant was slow and so was the service. The food was good, as it usually is for a chain restaurant. Not great food, but large portions that are consistent with what I have received at other Village Inns. The wait staff where just there. Nothing real good and nothing real bad. But they could have at least smiled a... More
