This place is great for a large party - it's huge. I had their IPA several times - it's good. Downsides: there were numerous flies one night I dined there. On another occasion I ordered a salad from the vegetarian menu which came out with bacon mixed in, which I didn't notice until I'd started eating it... When someone asks... More

I visited in connection with a work do and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were welcoming and there is plenty of varieties to choose from when it comes to their own brew. The food was good (but not great) the atmosphere and the beer however made up for that.

Went with a large business group 20+ people. Restaurant seemed very popular being nearly full at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday. Service was ok but not outstanding. No beer menu was provided by a "brewing company". Server brought individually plated pretzel bread and asked if we ordered food. Apparently pretzel bread is the house bread and should just be served,... More

We were in today after lunch time. Not very busy at all, but service was a little slow. Food had good flavor and portions seemed to match price.

The venue has a good-sized bar and the bartenders know their mixology. Taste samples of the house brews are available so you can find one that tickles your palate. The steaks are well above average as are the burgers. Very casual atmosphere with good service. Call in advance if you would like to set up for a large group lunch... More

Had a chance to eat at this location several times and enjoy it very much. They have wifi so it is a great place for me to order food, a beer and get some work done. I like the salmon but do not suggest the meatloaf due to it being small portion and not a traditional piece you would expect.... More

This was our 2nd time here. I had the chicken but and my husband had the salmon sandwich. It was good. We had the macaroni lollipops for an appetizer and it was excellent. For beer, I had the Sodbuster, very excellent. My husband had Dinky Wheat which is tasty as well.

Ordered the old man nachos appetizer that was enough to feed one. The wife ordered the salad and a bloody Mary total price for $39 . I won't be back

A group of 5 of us went out here while in Ames. Three of our group tried the local brew and really quite enjoyed it. As for meals 3 ended up with the NY strip steak and the others with some sandwich. Overall we found it to be a good place for a group to go to where everyone can... More

Got recommendations from the hotel. This seemed to fit my fancy. Beers brewed on site with many choices. Had the sirloin withe Yukon potatoes and green beans. Excellent! Sat a the bar and was greeted warmly and she took care of me. Even talked technically with the brewmaster. Great place!
