Ordered the old man nachos appetizer that was enough to feed one. The wife ordered the salad and a bloody Mary total price for $39 . I won't be back

A group of 5 of us went out here while in Ames. Three of our group tried the local brew and really quite enjoyed it. As for meals 3 ended up with the NY strip steak and the others with some sandwich. Overall we found it to be a good place for a group to go to where everyone can... More

Got recommendations from the hotel. This seemed to fit my fancy. Beers brewed on site with many choices. Had the sirloin withe Yukon potatoes and green beans. Excellent! Sat a the bar and was greeted warmly and she took care of me. Even talked technically with the brewmaster. Great place!

Our family and friends group sat at a large table by the windows and most of us ordered beers. Several ordered meals, but most of us tried various appetizers. I ordered their house made hummus and it was quite good. The pita was delicious with the hummus. The bowl of hummus was surrounded by strips of red peppers, carrots, broccoli,... More

We enjoyed the 6 sample sizes for $6. We really did not have a favorite. We did not ask for a tour. We did order lunch. The onion rings were perfectly done. The turkey and Swiss sandwich was so-so as was the salad. A laid back atmosphere.

Stopped in for a late lunch before driving home. Very large, warm inviting area. Right in the historic downtown. Sandwich was very good - even after I pointed out it had the wrong cheese as stated by the menu....... But they were very gracious in fixing it for me. Only had the opportunity for one beer, but very tasty. Not... More

Interior has exposed structural details, raised walkway to second dining level, interesting historic photos, beer brewing setup. Atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fries- which was a very generous portion and absolutely delicious. My companion ordered the pork chop and mashed potatoes. The chop was large, moist and tender. The potatoes were home-made and... More

The soup was a cabbage stew.it was one I would love to have the recipe for. It was wonderful lots of flavor. Next time we are in... More

The place is right downtown and enjoys a nice lunch crowd. There is usually a daily special. Never been disappointed with the meal. Had the weekend brunch buffet one time and thought the food was fairly standard. The dining room is clean and well decorated. Service is either good or just fair. The microbrew is an attraction and nice to... More
