I went several times with my boyfriend. Always good service. Egg rolls, fish rolls, orange chicken and fried rice are the best. To go or eat there. Different levels of spicy to try.

Little Taipei is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant in ames. I used to have lunch at this place atleast twice a week. I really like their kung pao Chicken, angry and new chicken. Thai curry is definitely my favorite dish. If you like spicy food, this is the place to eat. I have not been to this restaurant since... More

Little taipei used to be THE place to go to for great Asian food on a student budget. But that was at the old location and ten years ago. Honestly, when Asians stopped cooking the food it because horrible and then they raised the prices on top of it all. New China in Boone is pretty darned good and worth... More

The food was good, but three of us had to send our silverware back to the kitchen. It was not well-lit, so even when we got the replacements, we were a little nervous about the cleanliness. Ames has great water, so it was a little surprising that the water smelled funky. The service wasn't bad. The waitress was polite even... More

The food here is in good quantity and the taste is awesome. Would recommend for all interested in spicy oriental cuisine.

I ate at little Taipei in the 1980s and 1990s and it was the best! So what happened?!?!?! The prices went way up and the food quality went way down! Schezwan chicken was bland?!?!?! I won't be going back. Staff not so friendly but weren't mean.

This is a terrible restaurant, I have never been impressed with it. The food is of poor quality and sometime down right bad. I would never recommend it to anyone at any time.

Egg rolls were good... but beyond that it was terrible. I used to love this place, but they apparently changed the recipe on my favorite dish (orange chicken). 2 hours later and my gut still feels sick. The chicken was slimy, the sauce flavorless, not to mention over priced. I ate about 1/2, and debated on whether or not to... More
