Every meal here has been excellent. The key to long standing success in the restaurant business is consistency. They have it.

Great menu that changes periodically; the food is tasty and always served warm; pleasant atmosphere, the service is excellent and there is always a pleasant greeting at the reception desk

This is by far one of the best places for lunch and dinner in Ames, Iowa. Everything on the menu is perfect. The prices are higher than an average place in town, but every dollar spent is worth it! The owner goes to great lengths to make your experience a positive one.

Great atmosphere in Downtown Ames. Great food too! As compared to other restaurants in the area, it is a little more expensive, but it is worth it.

I'm a good cook, that cooks by smell. Complex spice blends defy description. Over indulged on just the appetizers in a great bar. No room left for hand made ice cream drinks for desert. As if we need a reason to go back?

I came here with a man who I was getting to know, it's very pricey and you don't get much even with those high prices. It was an OK atmosphere. A bit snobbish. I prefer friendly. Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids. The food was fresh and hot, just not what I would expect if I went to my... More

Great service and food. I had the roast tri-tip. Melts in your mouth. If you are in Iowa you got to have steak! Great place for a business stop. Nicely decorated and friendly Staff. My three other colleagues all satisfied!! Must try if you are in Ames Iowa.

Went here for lunch with the family on move-in day for ISU. Fantastic! The menu was great with many options but not overwhelming. Burgers got a thumbs up from the family and my "Love at first bite" was amazing. The steak sandwich (which I did taste) was done perfectly and had such great flavor. Met the owner on our way... When in Ames, we always try to have dinner at Aunt Maude's. Excellent menu, fine service, well-rounded wine list. Aunt Maude's is definitely where we will choose to eat if we are in Ames. Iowa is noted for its tri-tip steaks and Aunt Maude's has several offerings of this excellent cut of Iowa beef.

I chose the smaller serving of salmon, and was not disappointed. No salad comes with the meal, just vegetables. You can order a salad for $4.00 with your meal. I liked that atmosphere in the dining room, and wait staff was professional. If you want a casual evening, you can also eat in the bar if a booth is open,... More
