Great Pie, Good Food, Comfortable seating

We love their pie, their food servings are generous and reasonably priced. This is one of our main places to go when we want a relaxed evening out. All day breakfast is a bonus too!

I went to Village Inn with a friend for a 10 am breakfast of strawberry crepes and a garden vegetable omelet. Both were very, very tasty. And the service was great! If you are looking for a good breakfast place, this is the place.

went for breakfast during Iowa State family weekend. There was a bit of a wait but they sat groups pretty quick and we didn't want very long. Liked their "build your breakfast" selection, lots of variety and economical as well. Food was great and service was fast. We didn't get any pie, but they looked wonderful. If we had gone... More

This was my aunt's favorite place to eat. We celebrated her 100th birthday there. Good food, prompt service and they are very attentive to our needs/wants. Tasty pies galore!

My favorite restaurants are Perkins and Village Inn's. They know how to do it and with Village Inn you can have breakfast all day long.

I was here 7Sep2015 and had the turkey dinner. The turkey was juicy and everything very hot and fresh. A little salty for me but really good food. Friendly service. Too full to get a piece of their wonderful pies. Definitely a family place! Marcydiner tantrum score 5/5-no screaming kids.

The food is actually decent, certainly fine for prices - a very "Perkins" look and feel. However, this is what went with it: Long wait (they were not busy) to be seated, long wait to get a server, lukewarm bordering on cold coffee, a hair in companion's eggs, garbage all over carpeting (probably hadn't been vacuumed since opening in morning),... We enjoyed lunch here. It is located near the Iowa State campus and appears very popular. We enjoyed great hot turkey sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, chili, etc. All tasted great. There was a special on fruit pies for 8.99, and after lunch, our group of 6 was able to share one at our table--yummy cherry!

We went to this restaurant after an Iowa State football game on a Saturday afternoon. We were really impressed with the attentive, friendly waitress. Our food arrived quickly. I ordered the half reuben sandwich with the southwest salad. Everything was really well prepared...the sandwich was hot and the salad was fresh and very tasty. I had the triple berry pie... More

I visit this place on a weekly basis for breakfast. If you come before the crowd, the breakfast is nice and service fine. My only gripes are the servers who a.) come to work with dirty cloth already and b.) who handle my glass or mug with their fingers around were I want to put my mouth...disgusting and a reason...
