We have a son at Iowa State and when visiting him we stumbled upon Dublin Bay but now make it a point to visit whenever we're in Ames. We've never not been able to get to the bar and the Guinness is always cold, and very importantly FRESH. Always look for ward to the first one. Wait times are always... More

We all agree Dublin Bay is our favorite place to eat in Ames. The staff are always cheerful and polite. We dined outside for the first time and liked it. The food was great. Their remodeling makes the place nicer.

It was a pleasant experience. Husband loved the breadpudding! We would eat here again. The mahimahi was delicious. Bangers and mash was a hit too.

Loved the food. Great menu. Cozy setting. The waitress explained everything to us as we had questions about some of the unfamiliar entrees. Bangers and mash was wonderful as well as fish and chips. Can't wait to go back to try some other dishes.

Frequently go here for lunch. The fish and chips is good and the beer is always nice and cold. The burgers are also very good. If the weather is good, seating on the patio is great. Service is above average.

Dublin Bay is a very good restaurant, we have been there several times and the food and service is always great. We like several things on the menu, my favorite is their Ruben sandwich.

I've been going here for 16 years and it's a great place to go after work and have a drink with friends and colleagues. The appetizers are better than the main course, although the food is very authentic. One of my favorite places in Ames.

This place is great. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, impressive list of beers to select from and pretty good food. Outdoor seating is available when the weather is appropriate. No complaints at all.

The corn beef and cabbage is very good. My wife's favorite is the shepherd's pie. But don't be afraid to give their specials a try.

When we want to have a good plate of bangers and mash or shepherd's pie along with a Guinness or a good single malt we come here. Good food, friendly atmosphere, well appointed. They've got a nice sized patio for those spring and fall occasions when the weather in Iowa is the best it can be.
