Were here for a food/wine romance dinner. Loved the wines (local vintner, White Cross). Appetizers amazing. Good beef dish. Don't get the fried shrimp here--might as well have been Costco! Red velvet cake looked/tasted artificial. Funny to be at a romance dinner with six others at our table, but so much fun anyway. Great service. Strange, but fun.

Always a tasty treat to enjoy some authentic German food in the Amana's! Love to stop for the sauerbraten. Potato pancakes are huge! Plenty of good food- don't forget to try the strawberry jam!

Best restaurant in the Amanas. Wonderful atmosphere and great food. Served family style is the way to have it. And save room for pie!

The schnitzel had been recommended, but was bland and soggy. The spaetzle had a spongy consistency and the green beans tasted as though they were straight from a can; way overcooked.

Every one in our party had something different and we shared it was all very good. Old world type meals and the flavor was out of this world.

We go here every year for New Year's Eve. I have the same thing always - Jagerschnitzel with spaetzle. Oldest and youngest have burgers, middle child doesn't care what she eats as long as there is spaetzle. This year she had cheese spaetzle and loved it. I added a new menu item to my order the Potato Dumplings in Onion... More

The Jägerschnitzel was quite good. The mushroom gravy really made this dish stand out. My wife had the Chicken schnitzel, and it was also impressive. She was disappointed that the chicken did not have the gravy. Overall, we liked this restaurant very much.

We have wanted to stop here for quite some time, and today we finally did. Family style dining is a neat idea and reminds me of family dinners from my childhood. The roast beef was amazing and the potatoes were good. You must order dessert. The pie is outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It appears to have... More

Atmosphere is a little kitschy but plays well into the Amana theme. Service is generally good, with a large menu selection of average food. Save room for pie!
