Our party of 3 ate great German food at the Ronneburg. I enjoyed the sauerbraten while my wife ate the chicken schnitzel and our friend ate pork schnitzel. They were served with traditional side dishes such as sauerkraut, fried potatoes, and beet pickles. While the meal was very filling we did find room for terrific pie. The dinner rolls were... More

Stopped here for lunch the day we were in Amana Iowa, husband had a Reuben which was a little sparse on the meat , and the dressing came on the side. I ordered a hamburger which was just ok. If you want fries it's an extra cost. Only thing that comes with the sandwich is Cole slaw. We also had... More

We shared a Sauerbraten entree with multiple side dishes served family style. In addition to the entree, we had pickled beets, cabbage salad, sauerkraut, cottage cheese, lettuce salad, corn, green beens, fried potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, and homemade bread. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere and service were comfortable and homey.

Our waiter was friendly and attentive. They have a selection of German and American food. Portions were way too much even with the small meal I chose. Came with 4 pieces of bread? 4 items on my plate . The weiner schnitzel was fine. The fried potatoes were plain. The saurkraut was unique. Nit sure what was added but did... More

Passing through Amana stopped for lunch, great choice. Definitely a German theme going on (never would have guessed). Meals were fresh, tasty and matched up to the best German restaurants I had ever been too (including the old country as well). Really liked the Beef and Barley soup and the coleslaw - different but a flavorfull side.

We traveled with our Yorkshire Terrier Max. We were able to carry him into the restaurant in his airline carrier. The service was excellent and the food well prepared and abundant. We were part of a group of about 30 served a preset menu. Fried chicken, Wiener schnitzel, and Salisbury steak. It was a little like taking a step back... More

We felt that the quality of the food was top notch. We were there on a Sunday, so the potatoes served were mashed potatoes vs. the fried potatos. We perfer their fried potatoes, but the gravy was excellent. I saw a previous post which stated that the corn was canned. I would disagree with this. The corn was excellent! It... More
