Such a unique and fun sushi restaurant! I love the belt that carries the sushi and desserts around and around, for those sitting there to get food! (All covered in glass, so that everything stays fresh; all the sushi is labeled, so you know what it is.) There is also an area with booths, where you can order at your table with the server or on an electronic pad, showing pictures of all the food dishes. All the food and the service was very good. The servers were very helpful, explaining how the restaurant works.

The food was quite good and such a great idea to make a choice as you see it go by. Also enjoyed items from the extensive menu. Great place! We can’t wait to go back!

I have had the pleasure of visiting this location many times since it opened, and it never fails to impress me with its quality, selection and value.
We moved out of state about 6 years ago, and this was my first time back to Aurora. As I walked in, the staff was super friendly and there were even a couple from before we moved. We talked about old times and the future expansion.
As expected, the variety of rolls on the rotary belt was great and the quality was delightful. In my travels around the US, I have yet to find anywhere else that provides such large fresh pieces of shashimi (my personal favorite) for the price. Either the pieces are smaller or the price is much higher.
All in all, this hidden gem is worth a visit to enjoy great sushi, friendly staff, casual non-pretensious atmosphere, and wallet friendly value.

I was so excited to hear there was a conveyor sushi restaurant near where I was visiting. Love the concept and hadn't seen one in years so couldn't wait to try it and it was WONDERFUL! The selection was terrific, flavorful, and the experience was great all around.
There were two of us and we went around lunchtime on a Sunday (don't worry sports fans, they have you covered with tvs carrying the major games!) There was a 20 minute wait for the seats near the conveyor though, if we wanted to order off the menu we could have gotten a table immediately. Ample waiting area seating and we were seated under 20 minutes. Staff is friendly, attentive, and courteous.
If you're not familiar with this concept, you are seated around a covered conveyor which carries plates of sushi. You pay by plate and the price of the plate varies from $1.50 to $7.50 based on plate color and there is a chart telling you what each plate color costs. As the dishes come around there is a title card preceding the food telling you what it is. If you want it, simply open the door by your table, take the plate, shut the door and enjoy. And there are desserts, as well.
The key word is "enjoy". We weren't really hungry but seeing all the delectable offerings made us want to sample everything! We came close to it and everything was very fresh, flavorful and distinct. They even had a steak with garlic nigiri we tried. Wouldn't recommend it but what fun to be able to see a menu come to life before your eyes and sample things this way.
What I would HIGHLY recommend is any of the more traditional sushi. We loved all of it. In particular, we loved the tamago mentai nigiri, spicy crab maki, and anything with sake which was so fresh and delicious. The roe they use is wonderful and deliciously accents the sushi! The ginger is perfect!
I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great sushi.

The rotating sushi of course if the fun part of this place. Lots of choices for sushi and sides and even desserts. The place is popular no matter what day we happen to go.
We don’t always sit at at rotary seat since our favorite to get is the bento box. The bento box comes with miso soup and salad. For around $12 you get alot of food with any bento. My favorite is the mixed tempura bento which has two shrimp tempura and miscellaneous fried veggies.
Servers are nice and attentive.

I went with friends, not really knowing what was all about. I took my 12 year old son with us. He had never had sushi before. I wasn't sure if he would even try it, but since our friends brought their kids too and since this rotary bar thing is fun, we all had a good time! He liked the kids Japanese drink and also had the courage to try the sushi. I tried a few dishes too, and I was glad I had my friends to guide me. It was so much easier this way: having someone familiar with the place, with you. Everything was great!! I am looking forward to return there.

Food and service is great. Since the plates are smaller, we usually tend to spend a little more than at other sushi restaurants. This is due to our lack of self control and nothing with the restaurant ;)

Good sushi on a revolving track. I am not sure if I really like this concept. I just feel better with my sushi going from the sushi chef to me instead of going to everyone and then to me. But then again I did find this concept amusing.

Been around for about 5 years. Although not Japanese owned, they do a more than adequate conveyer belt and menu ordered sushi. Inexpensive and mainly tasty. Why not five stars? The items I ordered from the menu which were not on the belt were a notch below prime. A bit backwards perhaps. Why will I return? The staff was very gracious in answering my questions and did so with honesty. I admire that. Also...it was fun!

Rotary sushi restaurante located in the Fox Valley area in Aurora, IL with good sushi and many other options. The only thing I don’t like about it is that they close from 2 to 5 on weekdays. So if you want to enjoy their food, make sure it is not at that time frame.

Extensive menu with good food. A fun place to go. Atmosphere is very casual so not a place to go if you are interested in nice ambience. It doesn’t get very busy and can have a long wait as well.

I don't like sushi. I've never tried it but the thought of raw fish just doesn't do a thing for me....however....some friends convinced me to try this place with them anyway, saying they have other Asian dishes than sushi so I went. I'm glad I did!
First, about the place. It's very bright and not huge and there's not a lot of space for people to wait for a table but they do have chairs so you can sit if you're fast enough and manage to grab one. It's also pretty noisy but it's not horrible. Everything is clean and inviting and that rotary thing is really interesting as is the pricing of plates. It was very busy when we arrived so we had to wait like 45 minutes to be seated near the rotary (it's optional seating) but it wasn't that bad. Now about the food.....
If it's your first time at this place, it's helpful to try and go with someone who has so they can explain how it works. If you want to get sushi, it's all on the rotary which circles around past you if you choose a table on the rotary. The plates are color coded with different prices per color. They also have little signs on the rotary that explains what each dish is. If you see some sushi that you think you'd like, you open your little window and retrieve it from the belt on the rotary. It's that simple. Now the menu.....
You can also order off the extensive menu that includes a multitude of dishes other than sushi....appetizers, main dishes of different types, fried rice, etc. I ended up getting the shrimp on a skewer, the fried rice to which I added beef and the vegetable tempura with shrimp. The skewered shrimp was very good...a little over done and kind of tough but good flavor. The fried rice was exceptional but DO NOT...UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES...ADD THE BEEF. The beef was cut too big (you don't get knives at this place) and it was so tough, I could hardly eat it. That being said, the rice itself was amazing...moist and flavorful...and it had corn in it which I had never seen before in fried rice but it was good. The vegetable tempura was really good. The shrimp was battered and fried just right. It also had battered and fried sweet potato slices, two huge mushrooms and some strips of eggplant. It was very good as well. Now for the big surprise....
The menu said they had creme brule there which I thought was a big unusual for a place with Asian cuisine and I really wanted to try it. I was NOT prepared for the best creme brule I have ever had. It was very creamy without being runny and the crust on the top was perfect. There was a slice of strawberry on top which was the perfect addition to this great dessert and instead of one of those little ramekins that they have at other places, this was in a sizeable dish and you got quite a bit. I highly recommend it.
So if you aren't really into sushi but your friends want to go here, go with them. You'll like it anyway. :)
