The cream of chicken rice was hot and flavorful. The the Italian beef sandwich was great. Nice portion. Service was adequate for a Sunday afternoon.

I went here to have a drink with someone on Saturday afternoon (slow time) and found the service very slow. I had a Rob Roy $9 I'm not sure if it even was a Rob Roy tho. I think this place has seen better days,...but overall service MUST get better. The bar is always busy!More

Came here for lunch, nice place, but found the burgers was just ok, nothing special, and a little bit over price...

We love the lunch special of soup with a half sandwich. They make great homemade soups and the California club is tasty. I get the burger on a gluten free bun with sweet potato fries. They are one of the few places with a great...tasting gluten free bun. The food is freshly made and they have an excellent menu.More

We are always looking for somewhere to eat Dt Aurora before Paramount shows....... saw this place so headed over last weekend. Strange location but we had a great lunch. Staff were super friendly, attentive and helpful. Yes it’s American pub food, but it was fresh...and well done. Looked like homemade rather than nasty frozen fries. The in house roasted Italian beef was awesome with great jus as was the burger (although a little light on the horseradish flavor). Sunday Monday mimosas were just $4 each and excellent as was the craft brew offerings. Place looks pretty new but well laid out and nicely decorated. We will definitely be back!More

We where in town for the IWLCA Midwest Lacrosse tournament with our daughter’s varsity team. I reached out to the Spartan house a week or so before to see if they could accommodate a large group (30 plus). I explained to the manager that we...had a bad experience at our last tournament with service and separating the bill. They sat us promptly and quickly began on our drink order. The manger stopped to greet us and introduced our servers for the night. Food came out fast and delicious. I can not state enough the level of service we got. Fantastic, and highly recommended.More

This place is really off the beat and path in Aurora but it’s well worth the venture to the west side of Aurora. There is an outside patio and large windows that open up when it’s nice out. They have a bigger menu then I...anticipated. I highly recommend their grilled cheese with avocado and their Mac and cheese is to die for. The ambiance is very casual. We were there on a Tuesday and there was a decent size crowd eating dinner. They have a good bar menu with several different mules with ginger beer. I will return here again when looking for a dinner with my family or a place to meet friends.More

This restaurant/bar appear relatively new. It’s modern with a nice bar area and indoor and outdoor seating. We were visiting and went with family who go here regularly. The chicken pita was recommended so I went with that. Unfortunately, I didn’t think it had a...lot of flavor or seasoning. It was plentiful and comes on a flat pita that you can then fold. Service was pretty good for our group of five. Can’t comment on other food items, but everyone seemed happy with their choices. There is limited parking.More

My husband and I just heard about this restaurant/grill, even though it's been open for a couple years, I hear, and decided to visit. We usually go out to dinner at least once a week, and thought this might be a 'regular' in our group...of local restaurants we like to visit. It wasn't crowded when we arrived at about 4:30 pm, but was pretty busy by the time we ordered & got our food. I ordered one of the specials, a reuben sandwich, and my husband ordered a double cheeseburger. The bread on my sandwich was a little burnt with a definite burned taste to it. My husband's burger did not have cheese on it. When he pointed it out to our server she said she'd bring him cheese...and that's what she did - she brought out a cold piece of American cheese on a saucer. He put the cold cheese on his warm burger - in my opinion they should've adjusted the bill, or offer to make him a new burger. I did not complain about my sandwich...just ate it. I'm not sure if we'll give them another chance to get it right...we'll see. Another con to the place is the parking lot is not big...a lot of people have to park on the street. When we pulled out of the lot we could not see past the cars parked on the busy street (Prairie), and fortunately for us there were not any cars coming down the street at that time. I can see that being an accident issue. Also, there is only one entrance & one exit so you don't have an option of getting out of the lot on the lesser busy street on the side.More

We frequent the Spartan house for lunch and dinner. Outstanding food and service! We had tried the breakfast when they first started serving it. It was a fine standard breakfast. Upon returning for another breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised to find an outstanding breakfast! The...omelets had the standard choices, or you could build your own. They were loaded with fresh ingredients! The skillets also had standard choices, or build your own. We got a side of the biscuits and gravy...also an excellent surprise. Service, as always, was excellent! We were lucky enough to meet one of the owners, Ron. He was personable and gracious! Do yourself a favor...try breakfast at the Spartan House! Or any meal!More
