Wildfish opened in 2001 and is located in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights next to the movie theater in Arlington Town Square. Wildfish delivers contemporary Japanese dining by fusing traditional and urban cultures. Whether you are new to Japanese food or a sushi aficionado, there’s something for everyone. You can start off with house favorites such as beef asparagus rolls and edamame -or- you can try over fifty different specialty rolls such as the Scary Spider and Golden Dragon. If you don’t see something on the menu, ask the head chef and he will create one on the spot for you! If raw fish doesn’t suit you, you can try the delicious sea bass or filet mignon bento.

Solid Sushi

As sushi goes Wildfish is pretty good. I don't dislike nor do I really like sushi so take this review with a grain of salt. We've always had good service. The feature a nice atmosphere and their food is as good as any sushi I've had any where else.

Fresh Sushi

Stopped in with my cousin and was so happy with the food and service. My cousin and I split a few rolls (sorry, I don't recall which ones) and they were delicious. We also ordered some tea which was very enjoyable. I'd return in a heartbeat.

Excellent Japanese

I had dinner a couple of times at Wildfish and it was always excellent. I took the Green Dragon last time with a lobster miso soup, I enjoyed it a lot.

The sushi is flaming good!!

Literally, you can get sushi that is on fire and how cool is that!! Super fresh and flaming sushi, best sushi I've had in awhile! We ordered 3 rolls and nigiri plate for 2 people, it was more than enough. Very impressed with the quality and price wasn't too bad either!

Great flavour, a little pricey!

I am more than happy to pay for great quality food! The sushi here had great flavour, however compared to other sushi in the area which is just as good if not better, I think the price is rather high. Still a very enjoyable sushi experience with great service!

Excellent japanes restaurant

I really enjoyed this japanes restaurant in Chicago suburbs. Special dishes and classical sashimi or sushi are excellent. Will defibitely dine again there

Disappointed

We went to this restaurant several times in the past and were always satisfied with their food. We visited again today and what a disappointment. My usual order of scary spider did not taste the same. The combination of various ingredients in the roll did not taste right. The rice in the roll and the special bibimbap is too dry. We drove over an hour to eat in this restaurant so I guess we will not do that anymore.

Awesome sushi. Consistently good. Slower service so expect to be patient, tables close together. Next I want to try their new 1x/month buffet!

Sushi was Good - Service was Terrible.

The sushi was quite good. The fish was fresh and excellent. The rolls were more of a Korean inspired fusion. Not my favorite, but OK. I have been to Wildfish 4 times over the past year. Service was terrible every time. 20 minutes to order while seated at the sushi bar is wayyyy too long. Having to get up and get my own water refilled, not. Once but twice, inexcusable. The waitress was disappointed when I did not order a beer. And it showed. I may go back in the future as it is convenient, and the sushi / sashimi were great. The guys behind the counter deserve better servers.

Wildfish is always exciting, inviting and over flowing with endless choices and flavors. This visit we chose combination tempura, sashimi sampler and avocado, tomato and sashimi special platter. All well presented and tastefully enjoyed. Always a treat no matter the time of day and always an adventure to be revisited many times over.

After waiting for 45 minutes for our order- it arrived and was underwhelmed. The sushi was fresh- small pieces. Better options out there. Service was not bad.

We went to Wildfish on a Wednesday for their Buffett night . I wasn't terribly impressed . The sushi was pretty good but with the exception of the bus boys service was to be desired .

Good service, fresh food, reasonable prices

Ate lunch here today and enjoyed the miso soup, sushi rolls and sashimi. Everything was good, including the service. It was a little slow to start at 11:45am but steadily picked up thruout the lunch hours. I saw an interesting item on the menu for a "buffet" the last Wednesday of every month. There wasn't a whole lot of details other than 40 menu items available, might have to check that out soon

Very enjoyable food

Service is good and quick. The sashimi is fresh and the presentation is wowing us. The scary spider rolls are so good that i want to have them everyday. I also ordered the sea bass. Wow, very flavorful and fresh. Very happy that we tried this place.

Decent food Poor service

Arrived at 7:05pm on this Tuesday night. We left at 9:10pm. Waited over an hour to get our food and it took 40 minutes to get our miso and salad. Worst $74 I have spent in a long time. Will not go back. Sushi Para has them beat hands down
