I've tried this place two times now and have gone away feeling a bit underwhelmed both times. The food is good really. The kids love the roti canai, the curry mee was just like a hawker stall, the curry chicken is good, the nasi lemak not bad, curry puffs popular etc. The service is off-handed and unfriendly, make you feel... Came here to try out a different Malaysian place. Ordered the Assam Laksa and the Taro Basket. Basket was burned on the bottom but otherwise tasted ok. Portions were small for both dishes. The bowl of laksa was only half full and we asked if we could have more soup broth. We were told no because that's the way the... More

I went there on a recommendation for the food. There was no smile, no asking what to drink, no refills on our water, how is the food or if I needed anything else. I would say the food was ok and there were other dishes I would like to try. I may give them one more try. It is a... More

Been in Chicago for a year and have been craving for Malaysian Food and I was so happy to find this Malaysian Restaurant close to home. Food taste as good as back home. Ordered Nasi Lemak and Beef Rendang, a typical Malaysian dish. Its a good place to try some spicy Malaysian Food

It has been a while since we ate at Penang. There used to be one in Chinatown but after it caught fire a few years ago, they never reopen. We started with taufo satay followed by Penang Char Kwai Teow (rice noodle), beef rendang, Hainese chicken rice and spicy fish fillet. Everything was good. It would be nice if the... More

Some recommendations are Hainanese Chicken Rice, Char Kueh Teow, Pasembor, Curry Mee, Roti Canai and Roti Telur. A decent place to have Malaysian food.

The waitressing is awful. Half or more than the half of the menu is spicy food which shows no consideration what so ever for people who don't like or can't consume that. Food was average ... not good and not bad. It was a huge disappointment and I won't drive their again even if I was offered to eat for... More

We come here often and we have never gotten anything we did not like. We always get the mango chicken but the curry chicken, pad Thai, and fried rices are all great. High recommend this place!

We were a group of 12 so decided to order some appetizers and entrees to eat family style. As such I got the opportunity to sample dishes I wouldn't necessarily have order such as the green curry and mongolian lamb: the curry was spicy but not overly "hot" and I enjoyed spoon the sauce on my rice; the mongolian lamb...
