Went last night by boat with my son and his family. 2 girls in highchairs. Service was fantastic. As we walked up, they were grabbing 2 hi-chairs. They were quick to come by and take care of us. Our waitress, Makayla (?), could not have...been any nicer and attentive. The kids played on the swings while we waited. Food came out quick. Tough to beat $5 cheeseburgers and fries. This is still the best place, on the chain, for docking and safety of your boat.More

I went there last week visiting the area. It’s like another world, like coronavirus doesn’t exist up in Antioch. But this restaurant in particular was horrendous. Half of the waitstaff if you’re lucky wears masks usually they’re down below their nose. And I would say...not even half are wearing them.. Even though they are supposed to in a restaurant. No patrons are certainly wearing masks because apparently they are in a pandemic denial. They are also hugging and handshaking and fist pumping and sitting shoulder to shoulder. We left before our food came. I don’t care to pick up Covid for mediocre food. Avoid.More

This place is a typical Chain Get-Drunk joint. We ate dinner somewhere else but went here after for a few pops and the band on a beautiful Saturday evening. Anthem was the band and they were good at covering lots of 80's - 90's white...boy rock hits. Good vibe but for the MULTIPLE drunks that keep stepping on my feet, bumping me and my date (not just little) and stumbled, slurred and FARTED on the dance floor by the band. After a set and half it became too much for me. By the way, the drunks were mostly in the 40- 50+ age range and not so much the younger, new drinkers crowd. Sad.More

It works over all. Decent food selection and service. It's a marina style place so very casual and able to get in and out.

Had an awful experience terrible food and overly crowded, didn’t even have an accessible women’s bathroom women had to go use a port-a Potty. Everything was terrible, food, service, setting. Even people there were rude a guy got into a young boys face because he...was holding the boys bathroom for a second while his sister went and the 70 year old man almost started a fight. Overall terrible experience.More

We went there to see a friend's band play. The food was good. Had a burger. Cooked good and tasty. What was awesome was their signature drink the Captain's cooler. One of the most refreshing alcoholic drinks I ever had. Be careful they are so...good you won't realize and next thing you know you are feeling really good. Fun place right on the lake. Enjoy...More

Great casual, fun spot on Fox Lake to dine. We arrived for an early mid-week lunch-quiet and peaceful at that time. At night and on weekends, this place is hopping--light food items, basketball & volleyball courts, bands and even playground equipment for the kids entertainment...during the day. My husband and I each had the Friday Special--1/2 rack of ribs with fries for $5.95! Delicious! I also tried the Friday drink special--a Moscow Mule, served in a copper mug. Our server, Crissy was great--friendly, helpful and efficient.More

Captain's Quarters is located right on Fox Lake. There is an inside bar and a large outdoor patio and then a shaded area off that. Service is great, the food is normal bar food, but fixed as you order and served up hot or cold as...needed. Sundays in the summer offer entertainment for the afternoon and you'll find people singing and dancing and just enjoying themselves. Off season of course is more confined into the indoor area, but the food and service are the same year round. It's a favorite spot of ours to meet up with family and friends.More

Captains Quarters Bar serving food, is unlike any establishment in the area. It has an old bar inside and also outside. The bar outside faces Fox Lake and a large area of picnic tables, tables with umbrellas and a stage for live entrainment that opens...to the seating area. The bands play on Saturday and Sunday and has a DJ at other times. Entertainment is also fantastic. There is a swing set/playground area to keep the kids busy. Would be cautious with children though as there is a lot of drinking being done. Food is typical bar far and very good. Larry (the owner) keeps a very close watch on the party goers and you can be assured that he will not accept it and out they go. GO Fun to be had.More

Very fun, lakeside atmosphere with excellent service. The menu was very basic bar-food, but it was freshly prepared and was tasty. It was definitely a fun, local type of place.
