Casino's has been at this Addison location since 1986. The original owners were Italian and moved here from the city over 30 years ago. In 2011 they sold the place to an Indian woman named Mona who not only bought the property but also bought...all the recipes from the original owners. They still make their own home made Italian beef, Italian sausage, and Italian meatballs just like they were back in the 80's. In the summer they also make their own Italian ice. The full Italian dinners are also worth trying. I never tried their pizza before they changed owners so I can't tell you if they've changed the pizza recipe, but I see that several reviewers claim that it is not as good as it used to be. I didn't find their thin crust pizza anything to write home about. I liked the sauce but there wasn't enough cheese on it, the Italian sausage was ground up so small that you could barely tell it was on there, and it had a cardboard crust with dried out crackery edges. They also make a thicker crust that I haven't tried yet but I hope it is better. You can get a large slice with a medium drink for $3.70 ($4 even with tax) or order a whole pie. They also have a daily hotdog special here that would be a good value if they made the hotdog better, but as it is I wouldn't order one again. The hotdog itself is a good 100% all beef Vienna dog but it is skinless rather than in natural casing and it comes on a plain dried out bun right out of the package at room temperature rather than steamed. Nothing ruins a hotdog more than being served on a non steamed bun. The toppings qualify it as a Chicago style dog, but even they have some flaws. Everything on it here gets you mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, a pickle spear, and sport peppers, but there is no celery salt, the tomatoes are diced rather than wedges or slices, and they put so little mustard on it that you can barely taste it. Add that to a dry bun without poppy seeds, no celery salt, and no natural casing snap when you bite into it and I'll pass on the hotdogs here. If you want one anyway the prices are good. You can get a single dog and fries for $2.95 or the everyday special of 2 dogs, fries, and a medium drink is only $4.99. Speaking of fries, they are excellent here. They are the fresh cut skin-on variety, and while a little under salted I love them after adding my own salt. Other positives for this place is that all their prices are reasonable, drink refills are free, and all the employees are really friendly. They also offer catering and delivery and they told me that all local deliveries are free, which is something you rarely see. On the negative side there are only 3 tables inside and no outdoor seating whatsoever, so if you want to dine in that could be a problem. Another practice I wish they would end is serving their orders on a paper plate. When I had to carry my 2 hotdogs and fries order back to my table I was afraid the paper plate was going to buckle on me at any moment and send all my food onto the floor. If you're going to serve food on a paper plate then you need to provide a tray underneath it. I also hate those annoying little ketchup packets that are nearly impossible to tear open. Please get some squeezable ketchup bottles or provide a ketchup dispenser and save the packets for to go orders only. On the whole I would say there are more good reasons to come here than bad. Just avoid the hotdogs and pizza and stick to the home made Italian food and you'll be happy.More

We like their thin crust BBQ Chicken Pizza and their Cheese and Sausage. Haven't really tried anything else though. We have it delivered.

For years whenever we had a taste for beef and giardinera pizza my family would order it from Casinos - It was the best around. The last few times we have tried ordering it from our usual "Sausage pizza place"- but found it not as...good. So, we decided to go back to Casino's. Boy where we disappointed! I guess Casino's is under new ownership now- and let me just say it was not the same at all! The pizza reminded me of a bad frozen pizza. Crust was horrible- tasted like cardboard- there was hardly any cheese and so little beef that you could barley tell what kind of pizza it was. (The old Casino's used to smoother it with beef, cheese and giardinera- so yummy!) The salad with chicken we ordered was Ok, but not great, although it did have more chicken on it than most placed put- which was nice to see. Still, for $30 I would have expected a higher quality pizza. Guess we are back to our search for a good beef and giardinera pizza in the area.More
