My family visited the restaurant last Thursday to celebrate my aunt's birthday. When we got there we asked the server if we can move to another table which was directly across from where we were. The server responded by asking us "what's the difference". We...felt that the response was rude and inappropriate. We expected the response to be like "certainly, with my pleasure or "I would be happy to accommodate your request". When the server came around to take our food order, he took my aunt's order first and then he went to my brother in law and my brother in law told him he's not ready and if he (the server) can skip him and take the other of the other guests who have made their decision. The server responded by saying "I can't do that, I have to take the order in by seat number going clockwise. So he left the table and said will come back when everybody is ready. I found that very unprofessional. The next day I called the restaurant to speak with the General Manager to share my feedback. I was told he is not in but I was able to speak with one of the Managers. After speaking with him and sharing my feedback, he told me that he will speak with his GM and the GM will get in touch with me the next day. Four days have passed and have not received a call from the General Manager. I tried calling but was given a run around that he is in a meeting or he was busy. The people who answered the phone are also very rude.More
I've been going to Venuti's off and on for years. Just met friends for dinner there and forgot how much I love it. I'm Italian so very picky about Italian food but this place does it right. Love the bread, oil, and focaccia waiting for you....Meals are plentiful and pricing is reasonable for the quality. Atmosphere comfortable we sat right by the fireplace.More
Attended a business banquet for about 300 and it was very graciously done. Seating was rounds for 10- followed by
Cream of Chicken soup Caesar salad with a main of Chicken , Salmon or Lasagna. Everyone seemed to love their
choices . Chocolate mousse for...desert with fantastic coffee, that seemed to be Italian. The facility decor is lovely and bar service was available. If I am in the area again I would definitely go back the food was top notch.More
The BEST FOOD EVER! A must go to restaraunt. Frank and Maria, the owners were very gracious people. Our meal was exceptional. You must go and enjoy a wonderful relaxing dinner. You'll become a regular it's that GREAT.
Three of us went to Venuti's in mid-August. The staff was very accommodating, the service was excellent, and the food was as good as most Italian restaurants in Chicagoland.
Venuti's is fairly priced, the parking is free, and the experience was a plus. For three...meals and two drinks, we spent $60.00
My sister and I took our elderly mother on an outing and decided to try Venuti's. None of us had eaten there before, and we were quite pleased.
There are many Italian places in Chicago and the 'burbs. Take a chance on Venuti's - you won't be disappointed.More
This place is wonderful. Been many times downtown Hotel for wedding and other events, I'm still not sure why people waste their time and money to go there for their wedding. Venuti has everything that you can imagine and beyond. Great looking place, atmosphere is...top notch. Service is great and classy. Food is out of this world, and let’s not talk about the bar selection, they have it all. I rate Venuti a 10, compare to any other places.More
