One of our favorite places to eat in all of Hawaii. Super fast and friendly service and fabulous food!! We are a party of 10 and everyone loved it. Great prices as well!

We were staying at nearby Hanalei Bay Resort, and after six years living in Australia my husband was desperate for what he calls a ‘proper’ American breakfast. This place delivered in spades. Great eggs and hash browns, plenty refills of coffee, and a huge pancake...to keep our kid happy. Sometimes you need a place that does exactly what it says on the tin - and the Wake-Up Cafe is that place. Loved it.More

We tried Wake Up Cafe today, we should have read the reviews first and we would have passed on this place. Very disappointing and overpriced for what you get. $38 for two and poor quality. I said to my wife it tastes like the hash...browns have freezer burn and were cooked yesterday. My wife said her bacon taste like it was cooked last week in old oil. The owner or the person who runs this place must not read any of their reviews. The place was empty while all the other breakfast places in this area were very busy, after reading the other reviews back in the car, we now know why. Reviews were very similar to what we just experienced. We looked at several of the menus at the other places and we could have eaten for half the price as what we paid. Based on how busy they were, food quality had to be better. When we travel, we always search out mom and pop style places to eat. Sometimes you win big and sometimes you lose and get places like this. We usually always read reviews and today we did not and just winged it.More

The moment we walked into the Wake-Up Cafe we were met with a pleasant greeting and welcome in. The waitress served us almost immediately and our food took only moments to arrive. The Over the Falls special is the best french toast dish we had...in all of Kauai. Last thoughts, the cafe is quite small and doesn’t seat that many groups, so get there early!More

just had the worst possible breakfast in the charming little town of Hanalei... this grungy little gem it's starting to get pretty ragged around the edges... avoid WAKE UP CAFE... horrible overpriced omelet and what appeared to be reheated yesterday's hashbrowns🤢

food was basic and simple just as the whole cafe was. the prices were good but then my kids were still hungry when we left. We had to cross the street for a 2nd breakfast

Nice quaint little breakfast spot in Hanalei. I had the French toast with pineapple and coconut toppings both times...so delicious. Even ran into music legends, Peter Rowan and Tim O’Brien one morning. Awesome gem and crystal shop across the street too.

It's a room with some faded plastic chairs, a woman working her butt off, and a menu of very basic breakfast fare prepared very basically. Nothing more, nothing less. Go expecting not very much and leave with expectations met. Yet, we always return.

Basic local breakfast. Nice place to have early breakfast sitting on the lanai overlooking the mountains behind Hanalei. Service is adequate, food is decent.

No! It was 10:30am and we were looking for breakfast. Kalipso was not open until 11:00am. We walked over and into the dining area at Wake Up. Right away, the owner(?) greeted us with " We close in ten minutes". No pleasant "Hello or good...morning". We asked if she made Loko Moko and she snapped "No!" Just a rude waitress/owner. The coffee was good, but the breakfast was nothing. For three of us, the bill was $52.00. Just not a place I would consider to be in this area. Oh... did I mention this is a cash only place? Just ridiculous! Never again.More
