We mostly frequent Boll Weevil for their fantastic cake! The sandwiches and salads are great too, but we usually go for lunch if we visit Boll Weevil for a meal. We also like to visit just to get a slice or two of cake to go! Each slice will serve at least 2 people!

Our party of four adults had lunch here on a recent stopover since the restaurant was rated so highly. The menu is mostly sandwiches and some soups and salads. Not a very extensive menu except for desserts. Desserts just may be their specialty, but we needed a substantial meal not sweets. Folks in our foursome were satisfied with their order,... More

We decided to take a walk along the riverfront and chose the Boll Weavel for dinner. I ordered the jambalaya (usually a favorite of mine) Their version was bland, not heated enough and could they spare the tiny piece of cornbread....My wife enjoyed the Grits and Cheese with shrimp. Best part of the meal was the Pilsner beer...plenty of good... More

Delicious sandwiches, the house made dressing with my side Greek salad superb. Coco was an excellent waitress, attentive with drink refills. They had sold out many of their desserts; however, fortunately they still had lemon cake - delicious and large enough for sharing.

The corn chowder soup is one of the best I've had. Their signature sandwich is called Curious George and is very good and unusual - turkey with spinach dip and melted cheese - delicious. Desserts are huge and scrumptious. Prices are VERY reasonable. Service was excellent and friendly.

We stayed across the street at the Marriott and came here for dinner. The food itself is good but nothing terribly special. I had the jambalaya (usually a favorite dish of mine) but didn't really enjoy theirs- it was a bit too bland and watery. My fiancé's Italian club was really yummy though. The deserts were AMAZING. I kept seeing... More

Food varies according to cook of the day. Salad was good but soup was different each time I ate there. Key lime pie was good end crust was too hard to eat. Next time I tried cookie & creme cheesecake it was good but heavy after meal. Cake slices are huge!

Honestly, this restaurant served as my completely random backup plan. I really wanted some Rae's coastal cafe jerk chicken, but I drove all the way out there to find out they were closed due to plumbing problems related to Hurricane Matthew. I decided, with me being a person of routines, this was my opportunity to go somewhere out of the... More

We went to dinner last night looking for casual and light. Found this restaurant had plenty of choices for dinner with an excellent Greek salad - we added chicken- as one of our entrees. Then I had the delicious fried green tomatoes with a side salad! For dessert we tried the Key Lime Pie- crust was too thick but the... More

This was my first visit, we went for dessert and I will say that I'm glad I did. The amount of dessert given is enough to for two people, and it is really good. I also found out that serve meals too, so my next visit will be to eat a meal but I definitely won't leave without having another... More
