We were looking for another restaurant in the area and saw several vehicles parked in front of Vallarta. The authentic Mexican restaurant was nicely decorated, with reasonable drinks and food. We thought the food we were served was the best we had in the Georgia...& SC area where we were traveling. We would go there again when in the Augusta area.More

My family and I were looking for somewhere quick to eat after stopping in August halfway on our road trip. We settled on this place due to location. It was a Saturday night and not very crowded. Our service was quick and accurate and we...were left wanting for nothing. I just had some tacos a la carte. My wife had fajita nachos. The kids had chicken tenders. Everyone thought their food was good, especially since the prices were fair. We also shared 2 desserts, fried ice cream (skip, icecream wasn't frozen enough before they fried it) and the churros, which were delicious. I would probably eat here again if in town.More

I am here on business so I visited by myself. I waited for everything. People came and ate while I waited to order a drink same with dinner and check. Food was average but with their poor service I won’t come back.

Ordered dish with "chopped" beef. Beef was sliced, not chopped and a very unappetizing gray color. Tried to eat some but it was fat and chewy. Flavor lacking. Didn't send it back b/c I'm afraid of what you're served when food is sent back. Service...was fair at best. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place.More

I walked in and was seated after using the restroom. I was brought some chips but declined the salsa. I waited about a good 7 mins before any waitress came to my table. The waitress asked have anyone taken my order I told her no...she got mad because she was on her break but took my order anyway. So I thank her very much. The food was great but their level of service sucks.More

Wet decided on Mexican. According to the server the menu was a new menu however they looked as if they where many years old. Thru were torn and ripped from the booklet. Four of us ordered taco salad as one a burrito. Everyone enjoyed the...salad we couldn't eat it all and the burrito was huge and my friend couldn't eat it. Service was spotty. Our server was preoccupied with others who actually wasn't eating. We had to signal someone to bring us drinks. I've eaten there before and it was better. I can't say I'll return.More

Don't come on Cinco De Mayo. They have a limited menu with about three drink options. My food was cold after being sent back. They serve you on paper plates and using plastic utensils. You're better off having a taco party at your house.

Thanks to a coupon in a book the neighborhood high school was selling, we learned about Vallarta Mexican Restaurant. We went to Augusta even though there is one near us as well. When we pulled in, we were a little shocked because the outside of...the building looks like it was in need of repair. The inside is comfy and we had no complaints. We decided to go during the week for lunch because restaurants are usually crazy busy during lunch. When the brought the chips and salsa, they thoughtfully brought two bowls of salsa, one hot and one mild. Personally I give the mild two thumbs up. GREAT stuff and I put some on my combo plate too. Also, the chips were really warm! I ordered the combo plate consisting of a chicken quesadilla and a beef burrito. My other half ordered the burrito and enchilada plate. We were happily surprised at the size of the portions and speed of service....but oh, THE TASTE! Everything tasted fresh and was hot. I have to believe the food is the same at either location, Evans or Augusta, Georgia. Like I said, don't judge a book by it's cover. You may open it up and find a masterpiece.More
